My tripod was stolen in the room, costs £90 in Norway, had most of my important stuff in the locker, but I came in late & didn't want 2 wake up everyone by forcing the tripod in the locker that late, it was only girls staying in the room & the tripod is about 1,5 kg heavy, make sure to lock your belongings in the locker no matter what, they have cameras so I wondered if they would be able to see if someone carried it out of the room in a bag that had Hama printed on it?Otherwise I enjoyed my stay

I only spent one night and it was a good place to stay as I needed to catch a morning flight from Heathrow and you can take the Picadilly line from Gloucester Rd tube station. There was very limited common area (bar) and it was full of some group so there was no place to sit down to read or meet new people in the evening. All in all, I'd recommend as a base for seeing London but not a place for those who hope to meet new people and have fun at the hostel as well.

The location was very good and the price cheap considering is London. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpfull and nice (specially Filipe from Portugal and Christina from Greece). However i think there should be more staff over the night because it can also get busy and they work hard. Overall a great place to stay. El hostal tiene una localizacion muy buena y buen precio teniendo en cuenta que esta el Londres. Nuestra habitacion estaba limpia y era comoda. Lo recomiend

Efficient administration, excellent breakfast, clean and well-maintained. Quiet by standards of other hostels- if you want a good night's sleep you should go here, but not if you want to party. LOcation very convenient, next to museums, near Hyde Park and tube station.

Hostel is not bad if you are looking for a place to dump your bags, albeit in rather small lockers, and move on as it is in a decent location for the museums and close to a tube station. The common area is dead and the hostel as a whole doesn't seem to want to get guests together like other hostels do. The staff where friendly and the rooms where cleaned, although i was unlucky enough to get the rudest room mate who thought it was a great idea to shower and turn the lights on at 12:30

As a 20 year old female who knew I would be alone, I signed up for a 12 bed mixed dorm, thinking there would surely be other women in my dorm. However, I was put in a 4 bed mixed dorm with 3 much older men. Safe?

nothing hugely special about it but it was a nice place. always clean and fresh, nice enough staff, etc. not too far from the tube station, only a 5 minute walk straight down one road and just down the road from a few nice restaurants (go to the light of india place down the road from the gloucester tube stop, yummy yummy) all in all, a pleasant enough stay. =] would be nice if internet was free though, had to pay 5 pounds but got 24 hours of unlimited access. it was exactly 24 hours though!
