We only stayed here for one night but were unimpressed with the lack of working wifi in the evening, and the fact that we had to pay to use the computers in the common area. There were no lockers in the room which was unusual and slightly concerning. Our room was nice enough other than this, with an en suite shower and toilet.
In terms of location this hostel is excellent. It's only a short metro ride away from everything (and only one stop from the main station). The staff were more than happy to help us, offering advice on what to see and do and helping us find places we wanted to go. The hostel was also very clean and tidy. The "kitchen" area, however, was merely a microwave, kettle and fridge, so it was incredibly difficult when traveling on a budget as we could not prepare our own meals.
Great location and the room was clean but tired looking. However cleaning staff were rude and would walk into your room early in the morning regardless of wether you were in there or not. Wifi was slow and would keep dropping out. Good if you only want to stay a few days on a budget
More like a hotel with dorms, not much of an atmosphere. The hostel is very far from the city center as well, but there is a metro station 2min from the hostel. That said, the dorm was spacious with comfortable beds. Only 1 bunk and 3 single beds which was nice.
This place is fantastic for those wanting to be close to Vienna central station and is easy to find, but you are about 40 minutes walk from the centre of town. However just outside your hostel is a metro which will take you right into the heart of Vienna. WiFi is terrible. Rooms need a fan because it was sweltering but due to noise from outside common room could not open window. Very clean and secure. Showers and bathroom was immaculate. Staff slow to check in. Overall not a bad stay just hot
I was in the Hostal for 3 nights, the place was fine and clean. :) it's a 30, 40 minutes walk to the zentrum. It was 35 C those days..and guess what, the rooms Do NOT have AC!! The first night was so hot that we had to open de windows and you could hear everything from the street......the room was kinda dusty because of that. Even the girl in the front desk had a mini fan because of the heat....so yeah..if you don't tolorate Heat, maybe consider other option.
Very lively hostel with spacious dorms. Close to bus and tram links as well as shopping areas and restaurants. Would recommend.
I really liked my experience there. Good job!!
Our 6 person room was spacious and bright - really nice place to stay. They provided bath mats and were quite helpful - didn't have a laundry but happily gave us directions to the very nearby laundromat. Excellent security and baggage storage options - need a key card to even get into the hallway! Had a blackboard in the foyer of events around Vienna - we went to the open air cinema and it was a great night!
Good priced hostel for location. Easy to get to city on the metro. Could have had better kichen facilities and breakfast could have been cheaper - I could get a cooked breakfast at a cafe for same price (7 euro). Apart form that this was a great hostel and I would stay again :) thanks to the friendly staff!
Decent hostel, would come back to stay here while in Vienna.
Awesome staff, especially Agnes. They were all so friendly and welcoming! Thanks guys! Location was great, 0.4 miles from the Center station, 3 miles from Schunbrunn Palace, and everything you want to see is in between. Very easy to navigate. The bedding materials should be replaced, all of them were stained and old. Gross. The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, FYI, and is really slow in the lobby. A tiny packet of chips from the vending machine is €2. Fail. Overall great, just a few tweaks.
The sign reads "hotel" which is apt as hostel is similar to a hotel. The positives: well run and organized, the toilet and shower is in separate areas (and the shower is on the wall, not hand held!), good wifi. Negatives: it is large and lacks a social atmosphere. This is fine if you are in a group but may not be for a solo traveler if you want to meet others. There are also no lockers. There are a couple lock boxes but they were all in use during my trip. The rooms themselves are very secure.
Bad area. Not the best atmosphere. But very clean, nice beds, nice rooms, etc.
After reading all of the reviews for the hostels in Vienna I chose this hostel. I was put in a very nice room with 3 beds. I thought the whole place was perfect. It was very clean and I really enjoyed my self. The staff were very helpful. It was a little bit more than I usually like to spend but I did not mind after I checked in. It was totally worth it. Great job!
It's a nice place if you're the type of tourist who goes out to explore from dawn till dusk. If you do stay in the facilities though, they are not as good as you would expect. My shower door was broken in room 505, so beware. Also their breakfast is alright if you dine and dash. It was an ok experience.

Our room had 8 beds and two bathroom. During our stay one bathroom was out of order. Our rooms were cleaned each day and cards were used to access our rooms. However, it was the peak of summer during our stay and the rooms were unbearable warm as there was no air conditioning.
There wasn't any hostel group vibe, the air conditioner didn't work properly and the Internet was terrible. But the place was nice and close to the station so it made travelling into the city easy. It was just difficult to find the night life without any direction which other hostels give

Although not near the city centre, the proximity to the U Bahn station eradicates this problem and lets you see a less touristy part of Vienna. The staff were fine but could probably have been a little more enthusiastic. It is a very big hostel yet the bar was almost empty. There was no communal atmosphere which would make it a very bad resting place for lone treavellers or anyone trying to meet others for that matter. All in all, very professional but not suitable for RTW travellers.
Great hostel, part of a successful chain. Pretty cheap for Vienna, the rooms are nice and spacious, wifi spread out everywhere (this has pros and cons, like, a common area with wifi would push people to socialize, which is good in my opinion). Nothing bad to say.
