Excellent location. Great area to stay in. Everything is within walking distance. The public transport is excellent. Staff is really helpful and friendly.
ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE-The staff helped my brother do the Ice bucket challenge having being nominated whilst on holiday.Fun, friendly and accommodating staff. The atmosphere of the hostel was good. Problem with the door locking system of the rooms- had to be let in and out [minor point]
Clean, very basic, great for one or two nights. Doesn't have a hostel atmosphere but is very secure, well located and has good staff! Great Wi-Fi and the kitchen is okay.
Nice Hostel, I didn't like the location really... although is near the metro, walking distance to where it's al happening is a NO. But that's my mistake... But I think the hostel is really great, also for families (saw those a lot). I've slept one good night in a dorm... nothing to complain about! Wifi worked well! (saw most people reviewed that badly, so they might have taken action to it ;)
Our room was functional however some of the beds weren't 'proper' beds but fold-ups that weren't as comfortable. The toilet was clean but the shower cubical was a little gross, the shower head wall attachment was broken and there was some mould around the tiles etc. Staff were lovely and accommodating but there was definitely no socialising in the common areas, quite clinical. Lockers in rooms weren't particularly sturdy but each room has a card key so if you trust your roommates you're fine.
Nice hostel very cleaned. I had good time there. Very close from the metro station. I recommand Meininger hostels!
Hostel prices , hotel facilities. Couldn't ask for more really. 3 train stops from the centre, shower was lovely, breakfast was great and only €6.
Hostel was great... Some of the staff was more helpful than others... Short train ride to the city centre... We rented bikes one day and it took about ten minutes tops... Breakfast was worth it to pay for... Rooms were clean and the location was not noisy at all.

It's a little out of the way but near enough to the metro station that it wasn't an issue for us. The room and bathroom were lovely and so clean, the staff always willing to help. Overall we had a great stay here
Had a lovely stay at the hostel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. No kitchen facilities only a fridge, kettle and a microwave. Trams run very frequently and you could get into the city in 10 mins.
Meininger Hotel was a very beautiful and cheep hostel. I stayed in a six bed room and I think it is interesting because you can find new friends and know different culture. I think i'll returned to this hotel because it was a great experience!

I truly appreciate the helpfulness of the staff, and the general standard (the elevator is a bliss). However, I missed self-catering facilities and a communal spirit normally associated with having a communal kitchen
Large hotel ,large rooms friendly staff and was very close to metro station.
The hostel was very far from the center of Vienna, but luckily theres a metro station nearby as it's a long walk. There was also no lockers in the room I stayed in. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms have hand wash and shower gel provided. Good cheap price though especially for Vienna. The floorboards in my room were ruined and sticking out of the floor everywhere that we all kept tripping over them, the floorboards seriously need fixing before someone breaks a leg.
Good hostel, it is part of the Meininger hostel chain. That's why the atmosphere is more like a hotel than a hostel. Everything they offer is very good though and relatively cheap!
a bit hard to find at first as it is quite a walk from the train station but overall, good facilties and clean.
Quite far away from centre by walk but near subway station, therefore , we can achieve to centre by subway easily, only three stop! Reception are very friendly and provide useful information. And a lot of restaurants nearby and not expensive.
A nice place to stay. The building is modern with everything working as necessary. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast costs as half of the night, but it's quite nice. It's a bit far from a city center, but public transportation is readily avaliable.
this is pretty much a big hotel block with dorms for rooms. good for a cheap place to stay but the location isn't that great. near the Ubahn though.
Very clean and comfortable but definitely not a hostel as we first thought. Definite hotel feel but with shared 'dorm' like rooms. Strange mix of travellers and families resulting in poor atmosphere communally but still a nice, affordable place to stay.
