Very good place. Nice facilities and very secure. The bathrooms could do with a bit more ventilation, but I'm being picky. I have already recommended it to other travallers.

The staff was really cool and helpful when it came to finding places to see and go. However, there was a pretty big mix-up with our room. A boy that was supposed to check out did not do so and continued to stay in the bed that we had paid for. We got the money back for that one bed, but it was a total inconvenience and the guy at the front desk asked our group to deal with him... it was just very frustrating. Otherwise, the place was pretty good and a prime location.

Great location, not even a minute walk to a metro stop. Clean, comfortable rooms, and very helpful staff. This hostel is a great bargain. The only other thing I would add is if you are looking for a hostel that organizes social activities such as pub crawls and that you can easily meet others in this is not that hostel. If you are just looking for a place to sleep for the night then I highly recommend it.

Meininger was a really nice hotel. We had been 5 days and left happily. Rooms are very clean, heating system is perfect, beds are comfy etc. staff were very cheerful and helpful. Location was great too. It is just 20 meters away to underground station and just 10 minutes to old town, opera, some palaces. We only didn't like the prices of drinks of the hotel.

Great place! A little hard to get to, but worth it. The people are great, the place is clean, internet is lobby is good and the kitchen for a late night tea is an extra bonus. Great value

Given that Meininger is a chain, we were surprised by how little they used this to their advantage in creating a hostel comparable to most similarly priced independent hostels. Though clean and with friendly staff, it lacked many of the special touches that hostels are increasingly expected to provide (e.g., there were: no towels in bathrooms, poor mattresses, no bed lamps, no internet in dorms, no free breakfast). Perfectly fine stay for a hostel, but we expected more.

We asked for three different recepcionist what club to go, neither of them said us a good place. In fact, the neighborhood of Pratersauner, one of the clubs as really dangerous. So, never ask these recepcionist where to go out at night. The atmosphere of the hostel makes it almost a hotel, that's why there are familys and it's not the coolest place for young people. Besides that, everything is very good.

I stayed at Meininger hostel for 3 night, in a dorm. Everything was good and clean. Our only problem turned out to be another person we shared the room with who stinked. The location seemed a little far from the center at first but the train is direct so it takes no more than 10 minutes to get there. I would recommend it!

Great place, clean and well ubicated. WiFi should be FREE on the rooms as it´s only in the lobby. Very confortable beds and rooms, i really recommend this place. Also delicious breakfast (Euro 4.50) and 2 minute walk to the underground metro.

Very good hostel, excellent value. Great staff, big rooms, nice ensuite, very secure. Bunk beds are steady. Located a few stops away from the city centre. Next to shopping areas and right next to supermarkets! A great place for all ages.
