the food is not very good, in winter its great to take the dorm room with no windows (well actually it has one to the floor) as it isolates better, on the first floor its sometimes a little noisy from the bar downstairs, wifi is ok

This is the fifth or sixth time I have stayed here. I know the location very well, it is convenient for transportation, and the double rooms are reasonably priced and very spacious. The food in the cafe is overpriced and, apart from the first time I stayed here, the atmosphere is less lively than in other hostels. But, I can definitely recommend it.

The hostel was under renovation, but for future travellers it should be a very great hotel in the short future.

Location is great, really central and quite close to metro station. Staff was nice. The wifi was very slow. It was the first bed in China which was not hard, anyway the quality of bed was not good. Very clean and good security.

Good friendly staff, nice food/drinks menu, good internet & good atmosphere. Enjoyed our stay. The 'luxury' room is quite expensive for what you get when compared to newer hotels at the Y320 you do get a nice big room but not same extras. i.e. safe, fridge/minibar, bathroom products, new towels etc & heating in the room a water for the shower / bath are a bit too cold.

If at all possible, print out a map of the area between the hotel and the East Nanjing Road station because finding the hotel can be tricky even though the distance is very short (5 min walk). Use exit 6 or 7 from the metro The biggest drawback was that WiFi in the room was virtually useless and even in the lobby on the first floor it was roughly dial up quality. Neither my laptop nor my cell phone could even see the WiFi from my room and signal strength was weak no matter where I moved.

My stay here was really awesome! I lived in a 4 bed dorm, everything is really clean, bathroom is soo nice and showers are big. The only drawback was the lack of fresh air in our room without windows but there is air conditioning so it's not so bad. I recommend to anyone who wants to visit Shanghai. And it's 15 min walk to the Bund!

Good location - walking distance to sights. Rooms comfortable with lockers. Common room to cold for comfort - it is heated but people coming in and out leave the door open. What a waste. clean bathrooms.

This hostel was the biggest that we had been to, so because it wasn't as friendly as the smaller ones simply because of the amount of people it has. The bar was excellent it gave me the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world which is exactly what I wanted, as they were a cool bunch. Location is okay you can walk to some key sights and the sub way is a 5minute walk. The lockers weren't that secure as when i thought that i lost my key i easily opened it with hooking my finger.

The hostel was awesome. Plenty of room to chill and a good place to meet new people. The showers were awesome with the cold weather outside the hot showers inside were a necessity. Clean as well. The dorm was small but that was fine as there is plenty of room outside the rooms to do stuff and the price was great.
