OK for a night. No toilet paper provided in the bathroom during our entire stay, staff not easy to find for assistance. Our room was crawling with ants and mosquitos and the 'closet' was actually the wall of the communal lounge and TV area so we could hear the TV very loud all evening. Our door did not close so had to be locked all the time. Not an atmosphere to meet people. Free luggage storage. Basic breakfast. Great location close to Palermo restaurants and shops. Good wifi connection.

We stayed in one of the private double rooms. The room had no windows, a really loud and decrepit ceiling fan, a door that wouldn't stay closed unless we locked it and a bed that was about to fall apart. We felt the room was not worth the money. The showers and kitchen were in really bad condition and clearly in need of repair. Though: the staff was friendly and the inner garden was really lovely and a good place to spend the evening.

This was by far the WORST experience I had in a South American hostel. We were treated very poorly by the owner, who is only out to make money, and is not interested in the spirit of hostel travel whatsoever. She tried to force us to pay for our stay in $US, which required wasting our time exchanging money at a rate that disadvantaged us, only so that she could exchange the $US we'd given her for a higher amount of Argentine pesos to line her own pockets. DISGUSTING EXPLOITATION!!!

The staff should be better prepared, only after 9 days somebody asked if we wanted our room to be cleaned. The kitchen wasn't very clean and very poor utensils and fridge. There's only one table for breakfast with few options. Coffee was cold. The reception desk is on the back of the house making the environment a bit insecure. You only need a password to enter the house. The pros: the private ensuite has a good size. Good localization too, many good coffee shops near by....you'll need them.

Paid 250 pesos for a double with bathroom ensuite. Lots of atmosphere, typical St Telmo building.
