This hostel helped to make Kilkenny my favorite place in all of Ireland. They have a wonderful staff, comfortable beds, a lovely TV room and kitchen and it is in a great area. I would and have recommended this hostels to others and if and when I get back to Kilkenny I will stay there again.

Definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were pretty spacious, comfy beds and most importantly awesome showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen was well equipped. Only down side was it was a little cold sometimes at night and on Saturdays it can get a little loud, but by far one of the best hostels that is safe and close to everything. You can even do a load of washing for a small fee and there was always someone around to have fun with :)

The location is great and quite easy to find. The staff was excellent and was one lf the few hostels in which I had wifi in the room as well ! Excellent. The common room's lights were non functional and it was freezing in terephthalate Furgus was awesome and started a fire for us. The beds are very clean and each room has an individual bathroom with a very good size shower ! Also the kitchen is clean and well equipped. There was even a dishwasher woohoo for not doing dishes.

One of my favourite hostels in Ireland. Always good to catch up with Fergus and as usual a great stay, although too brief. One of those hostels that feels like home. Small and cozy. Always the place to stay in Kilkenny.

Mostly bad points for this hostel! 1. Rooms were freezing, asked staff to turn back on heating for a little while - told NO! 2. Tried to book in at 3pm,but Manager said he couldnt be there until 5pm,and was STILL late! 3. Manager asked us could we leave around 7pm because he had to "go somewhere". 4. Manager told us we were talking too much and too loudly at 7.15pm and said to keep it down! 5. NO toilet seat in the bathroom! 6. Radiator not working at all in the bathroom, too cold to shower!

Drinking beer and playing loud music in our rooms is not allowed. RESPECT for other guests is greatly appreciated. Regards MacGabhainns

We spent an excellent weekend in kilkenny. Although it isn't a large city, it's quite lively and we met a lots of foreigner people in the hostel. The duvet and bed are very nice and there are showers in your bedroom. Maybe you can find cold heaters and hot water from 5 pm to 10 am, but the staff is so kind and the breakfast is for free. They have dishwasher and free wi.fi. recommended.

It's a very simple but cozy hostel. Staff are very friendly , there's a big kitchen (clean and tidy) and the beds were ok. Nice place to meet people. I want to point 3 things that were disappointing: -Showers: The shower was changing from hot to cold every 5 seconds. It was awful. I talked to to other guests and they told me that the same happens to the other showers... -The heater in our bedroom wasn't working. I told the manager. Nothing happened. -Breakfast could be improved (jam tasted old)

Thanks for letting us know about the shower, thermostatic valve fixed now and running better than ever.

Kilkenny is a lovely gem. Out of all Ireland, the night here was in top 2... staff directed us to John Cleese pub where we were entertained by one after another lovely Irishmen singing folk songs, reciting stories and poems... and felt so warmly welcomed. The hostel was friendly and relaxed, and I'd be happy to return.

Great place with a lovely owner and cosy feel. Breakfast was simply open for you to help yourself along with teas and coffee which was great. Really close to the central area and bus station. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

Friendly staff, really helpful, good suggestions, they had their dogs with them during the day, I loved that, very sweet! Room smelled a little stale. Our roommates were amazing, made some good friends and went out together.

I just stayed one night but I found that it is a great hostel for anyone that wants to visit Kilkenny City. Staff are very nice and willing to helping you out with every inquiry you may have. I'd like to say thank you for all the help and for being so nice to me and to my new friend Alice.
