When our roommates checked out and new ones moved in, they didnt change the bedsheets! The kitchen is way too small. It´s tiny and there are so many people who would like to cook and the stove is without power (needs 20 min to get water boiled!) Breakfast-dishes are plastic- poor enviroment! There´s no bar, only machines to get some drinks and so you have to be very careful when you open the cans!!! The seating furniture is very old. In the bathroom are no coathooks, neither in the rooms!!!!

the location is really good , close to the puerta de sol, but the staff of the Mad Hostel sometime is not that friendly, especially in the daytime, the room is clean, but the bed is tooooooooooo low, if u sleep in the under bed, u cannot sit on the bed, or u will touch the upper bed, u need to really take care when u wake up!! finally, the shower is suck!!!!!maybe i will choose the others hostel when i go to Madrid next time.

Tidy, but no character and very expensive for a dorm. My room was quite small for 6 people. Big lockers in the room. Small shower, not possible to take your clothes with you. Kitchen is way too small for a hostel this size. But cheap beer available, enough of those and the atmosphere will come...

Really clean and comfortable, but maybe too hot in the room and the other spaces where there's not a circle of air (I mean air from the outside, because of the few windows). Excellent breakfast, I didn't aspect it included with so low price, and location and territorial collaboration with the other hostel and public spaces and amusement too. Bathrooms and especially the shower zone could be better, with more staff to hang clothes or put soap and so on... Definitely a place for young people!

The hostel was good the only problem was that the weekend we were there, there was a large group staying and there was a lot of noise and staff didn't do nothing about it. It was a little disappointing since I had stay here before and my last experience was better than this one.

They should have a little shelf inside the shower space, so we could put our soap, shampoo and conditioner during shower time. I really dont like to put them on the floor, specially on "public" showers. The rest is great.

It's a good value. breakfast is quite limited but understandable as stay is cheapest at 16EU for a 6-bed room.; quite crowded for the size of room.

I´ve had a good time in this hostel, loved the roof and some of the staff were very nice, others less... I regret that the rooms are very small and WITHOUT WINDOW (be warned, it was fine for me but if you are claustrophobic it might be a problem, because it was very hot inside, too).

Place looks really grotty. Ridiculous lock system needs to be changed asap. Common room needs some light and a lick of paint. Worth staying in only for a night or two.

Fairly good hostel. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and small for tall people. Also beer in a vending machine isnt a great idea as it shakes the beer up, but thats only minor

I really liked the hostel and its probable one of the better ones I have stayed in. However, the beds are way too small (and I am only 163cm) and the showers never got really warm. Otherwise perfect!

The Mad Hostel is a great place to stay for people who are looking for a good price and an excellent location. We stayed in the 6 Bed Mixed Dorm. Everyone has their own lockers with keys, which are big enough to fit a small suitcase or large backpack in. The breakfast was good and the staff at the front desk were young and very helpful. Overall, I'm very pleased with my stay and recommend this Hostel to young people looking for a cheap place to stay that is also safe.

The hostel is nice, well located near Puerta del Sol and with a subway station a block away. I stayed in the third floor in a 6 people room and it was quite small for all of us. There was a bathroon in the room and a toilet in the corridor but no common showers. Breakfast was OK, but you could only choose three things. It is very clean.

We booked a 4 bed dorm, the beds were comfortable but the room was quite small. Services and facilities were sufficient and the service was ok. It would have been nice to have at least one chair in the room as it was uncomfortable sitting on the bottom bunk.

Everyone was really nice. We got free breakfast in the morning which was much appreciated. They gave us a map and the hostel was close to Kapital, the rastro area, and Sol/Gran Via was about a 10 minute walk away. Overall lovely stay.
