This is definitely not a run-of-the-mill type hostel, it felt more like a homestay experience given that it is personally run by the hostel owner, Srdjian, with the aid of his lovely assistant Valentina. I had the pleasure of enjoying two of his home cooked feasts, one for orthodox Easter and another random

One of my favorite hostels! Srdjian is the craziest, most awesome hostel owner. He welcomes all his guests as if they are long lost friends. We were there for the orthodox Easter and he even cooked a giant Easter dinner for everyone. Location is excellent, facilities are nice and clean. Couldn't ask for a better place!

This is a very nice hostel. Not too big, just cozy and the atmosphere is superb! Srdjan, the owner, is just awesome. Gives good advice, and welcomes you with some goot Rakija ;) He cooked us an amazing diner for easter, and likes to party! Everybody at the hostel had an amaing time! A+

It was a nice stay, Sergein is a super friendly guy. Nevertheless I would have welcomed more independence and more backpackers hanging around (limited to 6+8).

We were staying at the apartment of madness which was brilliant and perfectly located. I just can recommend it. Madness should be your first choice if u plan to visit belgrade

Great hostel! If you want to feel real Belgrade atmosphere you should go there. Excellent accommodations and staff! :)

i book one day and finally i stayed 5 days. good felling and the hosts are very nice. they know everything about Belgrade. it is in the middle of the center and the hostel is clean. valentina and srdjan are always ready to help you and they give you the best for you. thank you, i'll be back. superbe ambiance, je devais rester 1 journee et finalement je suis rester 5 jours. les hotes connaissent tout sur Belgrade.

I have no words to describe my Stay at Madness hostel. Srdjan and Valentina will do everything to make You fell like Home. They are the best ! Thanks for everything.

This was the best hostel I've ever been to. Host is amazing, one of the kindest people ever. We had such fun time there, it felt like visiting one of my best friends or family, I will definetely go back and make sure I recommend this hostel to all of my friends. One more plus, it's 2 min away from the very centre of the city.

Absolutely one of my favourite hostels!!! Great hostel. Srdjan and Valentina were very friendly and helpful and their company was very enjoyable: they also prepared tasty dinners and the Rakija was always available ;)

Stayed with Valentina and Srdjan couple of weeks ago. Was suppose to stay 2 nights and stayed a week. Was a like a home rather than a Hostel. Valintina organized anything we needed and sent us in the the right direction for all the best places to see in Belgrade. Srdjan will make sure your stay is one to remember and that you are fed well with his cooking and BBQ nights. Be sure to sample the local Rakjia, there no shortage in this place. Met a heap of people here can't wait to get back.

What an amazing experience! This is THE PLACE to stay while in Belgrade; location in the very heart of the city + great atmosphere. Hostel like no other! The moment i stepped in it felt like at best friend's place, Srdjan and Valentina are just an awesome dinamic duo. They made my stay in the city so memorable. Awesome hostel, really easy to meet people. Staff are amazing, it's like staying at a mate's place. Perfect location as well. Valentina and serdgean are awesome they will make sure you have a fantastic time. Highly recommend, I'll be back for sure!

Impressed with the warm welcoming of the Receptionist. Cozy, clean, 200 walking meters from city center and all the amenities and professional family run business Hotel. Would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation to any traveller;went beyond my expectations.Great value for price. Will definitely come back.

Best hostel I've stayed in! The staff should get 200%-- Srdjan and Valentina do everything they can to make your stay as great as possible. They cook meals, provide drinks, take you out and around the city, etc. In addition to fantastic staff/character, the hostel is in an awesome location, only about three minutes away from Trg Republike. If you come to Belgrade, you must stay at Madness!

Well, what can I say?! Srdjan and Valentina made excellent hosts, providing beer and food around the clock, as well as great company! Thank you so much! I highly recommend you stay at madness for a truly mad experience and the best thing is the specially made bunk beds which allow you to sit up straight on the bottom bunk without hitting your head on the top bunk......amazing!!! A true home away from home right in the centre of Belgrade!

if you are in belgrade, this is the place to stay. you are treated like an old friend or like family. the owner is very hands on, i happened to be there long enough for a couple tasty home cooked dinners. they also have friends stop by on a pretty regular basis to take out hostel guests to clubs and bars. you're staying here for the atmosphere which can't be beat, but all the facilites are what you'd expect in a modern hostel. thanks srdjan and valentina!

Staying at Madness was just awesome! Srdjan, the owner, is a wonderful person, always smiling, funny and relaxed, entertaining his guests and being there for them all the time. He treats you not like a customer but like a friend, it's rare to see such hospitality even when visiting friends, not to mention in a hostel or hotel at all! He treats you with drinks, with delicious food he cooks himself - you don't get this service in Hilton! :) Thank you Srdjo, had a wonderful time, see you again!
