We stayed here Christmas Eve and it worked very well for us. We booked two beds in their 4 bed dorm but the other beds were not occupied. The location is very close to everything and the staff were very helpful. We walked a couple of blocks over to watch the fireworks, which were phenomenal, and it was a short walk back in the wee hours. The beds were comfortable and although fireworks continued, it was relatively quiet. Overall, a great experience.
Huge old mansion perfectly located. Their staff are very friendly and super helpful and the price is very reasonable. Maria by the way is a superstar. Only downside is one staying in room one or two it is a very large room with many beds and people in and out every night. Ask for a 4 bed dorm. Overall very clean, 24/7 desk staff, great wifi connection, AC in the rooms, and an abundance of private bathrooms and shower rooms in the hallway.
Very good communal lounge, dining and kitchen areas. Good reading lights for all bunk beds, good mattresses and sturdy bunk beds. Would definitely recommend.

I feel this hostel has deteriorated recently. Although the staff is exceptional and the location couldn't be better, you will be awakened by construction every morning (except Sunday) between 5am and 6am, there is NO HOT WATER, and there was often no soap in the bathrooms or shampoo available for use. Perhaps even worse, someone had her stuff IN OUR PRIVATE ROOM when we arrived until 7pm that night and the hotel never changed the bedding after. I would have expected better for $70/room/night.
The Penthouse is a bit costly for a single traveller but very nice nonetheless, with fine views of the city from all windows. The unlimited supply of coffee (both Duran and Ruiz) helps as well! Management and staff are efficient and helpful, and their driver Carloz got me to Tocumen in half an hour when I had to leave.
