Very nice stay. Rooms with Private bath have been newly renovated. Perfect location to access the entire city by foot. The breakfast provided could be better.

This hostel I would recommend to anyone. The host and her son are such an amazing people that would help you in any way they can. Hostel is at the great location within the walking distance both from Termini station and major tourist attractions of Rome. It has a warm atmosphere, it is so clean and very secure in the quiet street but still at the very center. Rooms are nicely furnished with lovely details. I do not have one single negative comment about it. The place to stay in Rome no doubt.

Upon arrival at Madison de Julie we were ferried by the owner to another of his guest house nearby Madison de Marilyn due to renovation in Julie. The apartment is clean n new and the housekeeper who comes every morning was very friendly and had excellent recommendation for food n sights. Simple breakfast served in the morning (cereal milk croissant coffee tea). Be sure to clarify wifi password as the one written on the modem is incorrect. Location is excellent within 10-15 walking to coliseum.

Pretty decent place to stay. It can be a bit loud at times depending on how many people are around.

On arrival I was taken to a different location than the one on the hostelworld map after the owners showed up an hour late. Sitting outside in a strange city for an hour not knowing if they were coming and then being told to hop in the back of two guys' car wasn't really fun for me as a solo female traveller. Apart from that first experience, I ended up really liking the place. So if you don't mind a bumpy start, this is a good spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison de Julie. The room we were in was newly renovated, the bathroom was very clean and spacious with all new fixtures. It was very quiet and felt quite safe. We were met when we arrived by our hostess Maria who was extremely gracious and informative. She and her son provided us with an excellent recommendation for a restaurant close by and directions to all of the sights that we wanted to see. We would love to go back again some day!

Overall, our experience here was pretty good except that we booked a private room and the shower door was missing. When we wanted to use the shared bathroom (so as not to flood ours), we were given a bit of a hard time. Other than that though, the location was excellent (right near Termini and St Mary Major) and the room was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay - Davide and Maria were wonderful hosts. It was the perfect base to explore Rome - less than 5 minutes to Termini, and 10 minutes walk from all the attractions. The room was large, clean and warm, and the bathroom was lovely, with a great shower and modern fittings. There was also a safe which was ideal. My only criticism would be that we had two twin beds pushed together as a double, which were different heights so it wasn't too comfy. Would defintiely recommend.

It would be great to keep the central door leading to the kitchen (the one with the sink) unlocked. Thanks for consideration!

Breakfast is very limited, and no fresh foods (just breads and biscuts) are part of breakfast, But the guesthouse is at right location. Value for the money

We actually did not stay at Maison de Julie because when we arrived we were told that there were no rooms available. It was still a nice apartment and close by, but after having to lug all our luggage there in the pouring rain, it was a little annoying. It would have been nice to be notified of this earlier. The apartment we were put into was quite nice. A few complaints: no fridge so our milk for breakfast was warm long-life milk; and the walls were paper thin with noisy neighbours.

We booked en ensuite double room and we got a georgeos and spacious room in a newly refurbished apartment in a quiet street. The room was warm, cozy and had modern bathroom. The owners were very kind, friendly and helpful. The location was superb-7 mins from Colosseum,15 minutes from Pantheon and fontana di Trevi. The owner recommended us tw great places to eat-the oldest pizzeria in Rome which is around the corner and Osteria 16, which is 3 min walk. Both highly recommended.
