This place was fantastic! Very clean! Only about two blocks away from the Colosseum. There is only one bathroom but that was hardly an issue because there is only three rooms. There was also a very comforting common kitchen area. I highly recommend staying here. The location allowed me to see everything I wanted to in the short amount of time I had in Rome!

Markov was so helpful, his guidence helped us save lot of time and could able to cover most of the top attractions in Rome, as we cant see all the attactions in Rome with in 2 days. He is one of the best staff i have seen so far.

We had a super time in Rome and maison de alexandre played a big part in that. Very close to all main attractions within waking distance. Macro was brilliant on arrival spending time giving us sound advice of what to see and recommended some great restraunts at good prices. Rooms were really well kept and clean. Security was great. Definately will stay there again when we visit.

Marco provided excellent customer service which made the stay at the hostel very welcome and pleasant. He accommodated our every request regarding what we needed for the room and provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants and ways of getting around in Rome. Great job Marco and thank you once again! Thank you to your aunt Didi as well for welcoming us for one nigh!

I was very satisfied with the accommodation. The apartment was in the centre of Rome near "Colosseo" and tube station. It was the nice spent time in Rome!

Nice and quiet place to stay, not a party hostel. Excellent location just 5 mins walk to the Colosseum. Nice restaurants, a small grocery store and metro station within 500m. We even walked to Vatican city twice during our stay (you can also take a metro) - you can basically walk everywhere in the city. Short walk to Termini station - but not too close to feel unsafe when walking around. Nice staff, clean apartment, "help yourself - breakfast". I would definitely stay here again.

Marco is the man! He was very helful and kept the place spotless. The location also can't be beat...half a block from the Forum with the Colosseum right around the corner. What a hidden little gem...so enjoyed our stay.

My friends and I loved Maison de Alexandre! The view was beautiful, and it really felt like you were staying in someone's home (without the awkwardness). The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, and the breakfast food was delicious. The 5 minute walk to the forum and colosseum could not have been easier. Marco answered all our questions, even went out and bought us a corkscrew when we needed one. Thanks Marco! It was fantastic.

The hotel was amazing just 2 mins walk from Colosseum, Marco is simply superb. Thanks Marco for being so kind and helpful is was really a pleasure staying at your place. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome. The hotel is perfect for location and every other thing one can expect.

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay. Maison de Alexandre was in an excellent location, within walking distance of the majority of the famous sites in the city (only 3 minutes from the colosseum!) as well as only a 12 minute walk from Termini Station. The rooms were clean and we felt very safe. Marco was extremely nice and having our own keys to the apartment allowed us the freedom to come and go that one does not always experience at hostels.

I thought the hostel was great. I wish they had soap for the showers but that's not a big deal. Everything else was great. My only suggestions is make it clear what floor and room it is. It took us a while to find the b&b

What an amazing place to stay! Marco was a great host showing us places where to go, where to eat etc. Location was perfect! The breakfast was nice and the room was clean! We liked a lot and if we are coming back to Rome, this is our place to stay! Thanks a lot Marco!!

Sorry for the late review. Everything is perfect, actually it is more like living in an apartment, and Marco is so kind and helpful. Location is excellent, only 10 min walk from the colosseum and with all the main attractions in walking distance. We really enjoy our staying in Rome, though the weather is not that satisfying. Next time when I visit Rome I'll definitely choose here and will surely recommend it to my friends.

The staff were really friendly and gave us lots of good advice on where to go and where to eat, and the room was really clean and secure

What a great place to stay! Marco was a great host, the hostel is great and great location!

It was a really good housing. The place of the hostel was awsome and Marco was a great one who was welcoming us. One more important thing everywhere was so clear and we enjoyed our breakfasts too much. If we go agaon, we will probably stay there again... I missed my lovely hostel and the streets of Rome from now. Thanks.

Haven't seen the owner in 5 days, no clean towels, very poor breakfast, he promissed to do the dishes, but he didn't, not in 5 days!!!! not friendly!!!!
