Stayed in a family room with 4 single beds with our 4 and 6 year old girls. We were made to feel so welcome here. The owners gave us loads of advice and we really enjoyed Joseph's currys. Joseph has a 1972 Beattle in which he gladly gave us a lift to the train station. Brilliant view from the rooftop restaurant.

A bit outside town but with a beautiful view from the Restaurant terrace. The owner's daughter took care of us and made sure we really enjoyed our stay. She further gave us her card and offered to help us out anytime we encounter a problem on our trip through Sri Lanka.

Really nice place to stay, not an actual hostel but a huge hotel with a really nice atmosphere. The view from the top level is breathtaking, the hotel is on the edge of a valley so you can actually see the whole Kandy town on one side and the wild mountains on the other. The owner is really friendly, as the staff is. Would definitely go back there.

A couple showed up the day after me, and they only paided half of the price i was charged through hostelworld. Also when leaving, the hotel wanted to arrange a tuk-tuk, which was overpriced. He asked 1200 rupees and I went with another who only charged 600 for the same distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Majestic. We went there again because I had had a great experience staying there three years ago. This time, since it was off-season, the owners were able to take care of us 24/7, and Uncle even drove us himself in his van to see the Dambulla Caves three hours away. The rooms were clean, and well furnished with breathtaking views of Kandy town. It's also a short 15 minute walk to Kandy Lake and the tooth temple.
