Great stay, very friendly and helpful owner and staff! Nice view from restaurant. Location is a bit out of the centre but it takes only 5-10 minuten by tuktuk (250Rs). Definitely recommend this place.

Hi Thank you for your review. Joseph Majestic Tourist Hotel.

I have to say that owner and staff in Majestic Tourist Hotel are the excellents in Sri Lanka. Even though you should take a twenty-minutes walk to Tooth Relic. The whole stay in Majestic Tourist Tourist is totally worth. You could ring the bell if you need anything, then the staff will show up like 1 minute and can help you like everything! The owner could let you know the every details and information in Kandy and around plance. The roof top restaurant is awesome of course.Totally great!

Phenomenal place, especially the kindness of Kumari, G, & Ravi! From help with luggage, tips on buses, calling tuk-tuk, making food to our order, helping us make phone call, and being so friendly to talk to -- thanks for everything! Blessigns

Stunning views, clean, spacious rooms, and extremely friendly staff. a stunning 15-20min walk to temples. Loved it!

Nice view. But far from city center... so rickshaw drivers will be happy to take you there for only 200... em 300... or maybe 500 lkr... :/ Owners first seem to be nice people but they will make you remember that you definitely are in sri lanka ! Check your bill and change ! Twice !

The family who own and run the hostel are really nice and obliging. The lady even brought us on a trip and was the best driver we had in Sri Lanka :-) They'd do anything for you. Our room was a good size for three people.

The staff here are fantastic! They were so helpful with suggestions and helping us plan our stay in Sri Lanka. We organised cars, tours and day trips. Kandy is much nicer than Colombo and the elephant orphanage and tea factories plus more are easily accessible. Joseph and his wife are very well known by the locals and they are so friendly and happy. Nothing was too much to ask. Highly recommend to other backpackers and the view from the breakfast restaurant is awesome!

The hotel has a good location only a 10 minute walk to the lake. The room was spacious and clean and included a nice filling breakfast each morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very good value for money. I would very strongly recommend the hotel. Thank You for a lovely stay

We stayed here just one night. The staff was very very nice. We actually had a trouble with a tuk-tuk driver when we got here. He claimed I broke the seat cover with my suitcase. I knew he was just lying so I kept saying no to him and then the hotel staff came and let us go in and everything was settled. The room was very clean and the breakfast was also very good. I recommend you stay here when you go to Kandy.

A nice quiet hotel a little far out of town, great views, nice roof top restaurant.

I liked this place a lot. The view from the roof top terrace is wonderful, especially at sunset. You can feel the nature around you, but still it is not far away from the city center. To go to the city, you can either take a nice stroll along the Kandy Lake past the Temple of the Tooth. It will take around 15 to 20 minutes to reach the center. You can as well take the bus there. Buses run often and they are really cheap, I can really recommend them. The owners are very helpful, just ask them. :)
