My stay at the Majestic Tourist Hotel was amazing. I can highly recommend the food cooked by Joseph, the hotel manager and his staff. His wife is very lovely, too and they both made us feel like we are in a home away from home. :) The value for money is great and although it is not right in the center, you can walk in 20min to downtown Kandy or take a Tuk Tuk for less than 2 Euro. The roof terrace war my favorite place, the panorama was superb!! If I ever come back, this hotel is my first choice

Nice View from the restaurant, nice staff, very helpful on direction, plans and tour arrangement. A bit far from town but sometimes they have free pick up service. 200 rps for tuktuk from town center. Very nice breakfast with fresh fruits and juice.

very nice, clean and calm hotel, about 25mins walking or 200lkr by tuktuk away from the railway station. spacious, comfortable, a bit simple rooms with a nice balcony. incredible view from the breakfast/dinner terrace on the top of the building over kandy, the lake and the mountains. food is simple but fresh and good. the owners help a lot by explaining the bus system or recommending where to go. wifi is free but sometimes not working. went there twice for 2 nights and it was one of the best in

Breakfast was included in this place... Do not hire the driver for this hotel as I had a drive from Kandy to Adams peak for 7 hours and it should have been three hours.. The cars clutch went and the owners would not replace the car! Additionally I had a return trip to Hatton but i was not reimbursed the price for the tuk tuk from Adams peak! So disappointed the hotel is ok but there are better places that are in kandy whereas this is outside kandy

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Rooms were clean and well maintained, I even had a private balcony. I found the staff useless if you asked them anything but then Hotel manager would step in and all my problems would be solved. both he and his wife were very lovely. There is a decent walk from the hotel into the city but it is doable under 20 minutes. You must try at least one meal at the restaurant, I thought it was a bit pricey but it is all cooked fresh. It was amazing!

Average room you would expect on a budget, so no problem. Wonderful green hilltop view from rooftop restaurant. Great food cooked to order, but breakfast could use some variety unless you're a fan of cold white toast. The staff speak no english & are too over-worked to find the time to learn, so you might want to slip them a nice tip; but the husband & wife managers are very helpful. Overall a decent low budget stay. Tip: Use a torch on approach road at night, my cellphone torch was fine.

Food and location are bad. Everything was about money but the service was.half hearted. They charged us more for the tour cuz they said they would provide a new car but it looks like it's going to be scrapped. The tour included only the driver and not tour guide and he was reluctant to go look for a tour mate who didn't come back after a long time. And much more.
