We had a lovely stay at Malabar as 3 bagpackers, the staff were very helpful with everything we asked and one of us even left a phone and they are mailing it back to us! Good location in the centre of Georgetown and you get what you pay for!

Great location, very near the free hop on bus which was useful. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Left my sunglasses behind & they got in contact to let me know they were keeping them safe. Could have done with a safe to lock away passports etc, but general security was good.

Great place, the owner provided maps and told us where we could go, which busses there were, where to do our laundry etc. Nice and clean rooms (ours did not have a window, but we did not mind). Perfect location, close to bus terminal and historic city center. Very quiet, definitely recommanded.

Nice hostel. I will use it again next time. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The WiFi connection should be improved. It became unstable often.

Need to repaint the hostel as wall paint is coming off n the room smell weird. But overall hostel is ok

Rooms and floor are kept clean. Very near to many eateries.

the location is near to all the main attractions. great place. just that the decorations of the room is rather boring.

I was in a double room. The bed is huge. That's good! Pillows need to renew are thin and hard. Staff is very friendly. Very polite owner and helper they will give you all information that you need. Hostel is calm. Nice terrace. toilets very clean and shower is ok. Maybe needs to improve the breakfast with toast and free coffee as all hostels.

The recommendation of food and places to visit by the staff is very useful!

We lived in a twin room, it's really deserve the price . Both environment and location are really nice. Especially I love the balcony so much. Furthermore thanks to the stuff guy we got many excellent ideas.

You do not need a kitchen in Penang. Plenty of food stalls are just out there, right in front of Guest House!
