We only stayed one night before heading to Seville, but it was a great hostel. Actually more like a very good hotel standard. The location is also perfect for visiting the lovely old town and it's squares. Would recommend unreservedly.

Nice, cosy place. Not so good sound insulation, but for few nights it´s OK :-)

Person who met us didnt speak english and did not seem happy but other than that the rooms are wonderful for the price with great facilities (satellite, internet and kitchen) and the house is quaint.

The Malaga lodge is so sweet. We really enjoyed it. It is beautifully arranged and very clean and comfortable. Located in a little Malaga street (not in the "new area" which is full of ugly modern buildings). We really fell in love with Malaga and with the Malaga lodge. And already plan to come back there again!!

A very good hostel, good beds, clean sanitary facilities and the owner(Mayte) goes out of her way to help guests. I had a wonderful stay.

I was absolutely delighted to stay at Malaga Lodge and it surpassed my expectations. It was perfect for what I wanted, which was somewhere clean, safe and quiet, within walking distance of Malaga city centre and at a good price. It has the feel of a basic small hotel but with the bonus of an extremely clean and well-equipped shared kitchen. Bathrooms are shared but are kept clean so that was fine. As a mum in her early sixties and two grown up daughters it suited us perfectly!

Loved the place, calm area, yet a short walk from the center. If you stay here, try breakfast in the courtyard of the church next door - there is a cafeteria as it is also a small hospital. I don't think I will stay anywhere else in Malaga again.

Lovely place to stay...immaculately clean thanks to the lovely Mariangeles (who was so very patient with my non-existent Spanish!) Great to have such a well equipped kitchen too. Would like to stay for longer to make the most of having a home from home. Only downside was a squeaky bed and the noise of the scooter from the house across the very narrow street - but I could have got ear plugs and that was the only outside noise and lasted only for seconds. Will definitely recommend!

Malaga Lodge is a wonderful place for people who like to get crazy in Andalucia, taste every bit of the city but then come back home (yes, HOME, cause it feels like home!) and recharge batteries to be ready for the next day. It is quiet and peaceful, located within walking distance from the Old Town (10 min). They have all necessary facilities - including a hairdryer and even a bread-maker:)The owner is charming and very helpful, giving you some insider hints about shopping and good tapas nearby

Malaga Lodge is so well organized and so well equipped that it rather felt like staying in a lovely quiet family home in oppose to staying in a hostel. It is great, please stay there!

malagalodge feels more like a guest house than a classic hostel, it is relatively small too which adds to the quiet. it is also located in a quiet location about 10 min walk to town centre. the rooms are very clean and well equipped, i felt being in a hotel more than a hostel. the owner is fabulous and extremely kind and helpful. i would definitely stay here again eventhough it is not a classic "party hostel"
