Excellent hostal...NO it is not a hostal, it is like real house with lovely lady looking after her guests. Quite far from the station, but it is because we decided to walk, if you take a bus no 1 from the station it will take you directly to the Lodge in aprox 15-20 min. Very friendly house with excellent atmosphere, very clean quiet rooms , safe area, close to shops, restaurants, not expensive. The only problem for me was that I couldn't stay longer than one night in this place.RECOMENDED:-)

My stay at Malaga Lodge was fantastic. I was expecting a typical hostel but it was nothing like that. The owner was very nice and helped us with a map of the city and even helped us to rent a car for a day trip. The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center which wasn't bad because it's on a nice quieter street. I would recommend Malaga Lodge to anyone for an affordable, great place to stay in Malaga.

It is simple but absolutely sufficient and very well organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Internet is for free. City center is a 10 min walk. Very quiet side street where only parking affords certain driving skills, but other than that Malaga Lodge deserves 11 out of 10 stars :-) Definitely a place to stay.

Very nice hostal in a quiet street, runned by friendly lady. We shared our gazpacho receipts! I slept on the ground floor and could stall my rented bike on my room! Perfect!

Would like to have had numbers on the guests' doors. It would have been helpful when I arrived late and let myself in.

My family & I stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. Wonderful stay!!! Maria was wonderful resource of info. Nice grocery story 2 blocks away. Nice restaurants/bar couple of blocks away. Close to tourist areas of Malaga. Only negative is parking. Seems to be a space in front of the lodge for one car, but road is so narrow that parked cars at either end of the road keep you from getting in or out. Must find street spot farther away. We were 6 blocks away. Not bad but folks need to know/plan.

Lovely place in a good location, only a short walk from the city center. Would recommend for people who are not looking to meet other travelers as it is more of a hotel than hostel. Great value for money, the shared bathrooms are absolutely spotless and staff is lovely and makes you feel very welcome.

We were delighted with Malaga Lodge. It was a charming traditional Spanish town house, located a short walk from the old Town. The proprietor and staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Facilities for storage and cooking of food were unbeatable. Great value for money. Would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

The wifi on the top floor was inexistent which was annoying. There was marmalade in the fridge which had gone off and was moulding. We didn't really mind but we thought it would be better avoided. You wouldn't want a picky demanding lodger finding it!

Great hostel at a cheap price! It looked more like a good hotel than a hostel. The land lady is very friendly and eager to help and has a lot of good recommendations about malaga. Perfect!

This place is great if you are not interested in being right in the middle of the action. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center. It wasn't a problem for us, because we came back by 10 pm each night. There are also a few places to eat on the way to the center. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and what not to get a proper meal going. I would definitely consider this hostel for an extended stay.
