I would definitely stay here again.. For the third time. Close to the airport, friendly staff, clean, safe, and good company! Costa Rica rocks! Pura Vida!

An excellent place to stay when you just want a few hours of sleep before or after a flight. A few minutes from the airport, well-organized taxi pickup, clean room and warm showers. The traffic outside can be a little loud, but it did not bother me during the night. Friendly staff and free wifi. Recommended for this purpose (but not for much else)

I really liked this hostel. I was skeptical about a hostel all together in the first place but it was very welcoming and safe and there was a lot of extras I enjoyed. My only complaint was that I was supposed to leave at 330 a.m. and was told the night person would call a cab for me in the morning. When I was ready to go though there was no one to be found, the money was out on the counter, and I had no idea what to do. He finally woke up at 4 but I was not very happy about waiting in the blue.

Clean, they give you clean sheets and pillow cases to put on your bed. Bathrooms were nice. Staff nice. Hostel is safe and secure.

Maleku is a 5-6 colones cab ride from SJO, which is incredibly convenient if you are arriving late into Costa Rica or flying out early. I used this hostel in both instances and took advantage of their free shuttle service to the airport (Every hour 5am-5pm. Just sign up at the front desk). Dorms/kitchen/common area are clean and comfortable.

Really great place to stay if you're just spending the night. Helpful staff. I just don't think they should advertise "breakfast included" as it's more of a snack. Super-clean hostel.

Perfect place to stay for a night before or after your flight. Very clean, convenient and secure place. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Great if you're just looking for a nice quiet place to crash. If you're looking for more "atmosphere" you should probably look elsewhere.
