This place is amazing, will go back for sure. We were apprehensive before we went but it surpassed expectations the moment we walked in! The only reason I didn't put excellent for all is because there is no safe deposit box and in my opinion being on the water it could be easy for an unsavory person to break in. Also location is a little out of the centre but that's not their fault. If a was forced to say anything bad the mirror is too high in the bathroom! That's it!! Honestly. Love the place!!

The houseboat was nice and clean we really enjoyed the ambiance and being on the canal watching the ducks, geese and watercraft. It appeared that the neighborhood is starting to change. However, close to public transportation and not such a long walk to the center. I am unsure if I would stay in the summer time due to no air conditioning. Although it's fine for the spring and autumn.

This house boat was perfect for our party of 4! The boat itself is beautifully finished with an excellent layout. The highlights were the large outdoor patio, huge windows overlooking the canal and the bathroom. The location was great for anyone looking to get away from the heavily touristed city center. Great market nearby, vondelpark, and a quick bike ride to the beautiful Joordan district.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner is really cool and relaxed adding that to the atmosphere of the stay. The boat is practically brand new, it is crafted and decorated with great care as well. There is a grocery store nearby which makes use of the fridge and stove easy. Such a cool experience. If you are looking for something that isn't a run of the mill hostel stay go with this boathouse. I couldn't have asked for anything more. So cool.

it was our first time and we enjoyed very much staying on a houseboat. melles houseboat is a very comfortable place even for four people, with a good and charming atmosphere. melle, the guy running it is a very nice and helpful person an d you can have a really good time!

THE place to stay in Amsterdam.

Mallees Houseboot is really nice. The owner Melle lives next to the boat and ask u if everything is OK and if u need anything u can call him. The boat is new and has floorheating. The bed is very good > kingsize. The TV is nice with 150 movies. There is a kitchen with 2 cooking plates, a microwave and a refrigerator. The trams and supermarket are very near. I would certainly come back here.
