An amazing value hostel, cheap but very clean and good facilities even for a longer stay. Only the showers were quite impractical as the changing area was very poky and there was nothing to lay your stuff on except the wet ground. The receptionist was so helpful, friendly and cheery!

located in the old town area of edinburgh, near to the castle and camera obscura. two things!.. superb cleanliness of the hostel,, and also amazing discount for the hostel' guest at the malone's bar

The location was ideal and the accommodation was great apart from the stair case which was a bit tricky with lots of luggage and then after a few beers. As we stayed on New Years the price was a bit steep but I would recommend this hostel to anyone wanting to stay in Edinburgh. Malones Irish bar had a great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Great staff and the rooms were really comfy and warm. The Malone's bar next door was also brilliant - 50% off the food if you're staying at the hostel!! Great location too, very close to Edinburgh castle, princess street, royal mile, and nando's!

They have no locker, just a small box smaller than my Ipad ! The Staff are sux, they do not help you in anything. The day I arrived i had to wait half hour outside the hostel. They have no facilities. Good point is the location, near everything.

Quite good location in the old town. Staff friendly but not over and above. Room had very dirty carpet and beds where very soft. Female showers full of hair! Facilities for breakfast could only seat 4 people.

I really recommend this hostel ! This hostel is probably the cleanest I've ever seen so far. The staff is always available and very nice ! The hostel is just above a great irish pub where you can have heaps of fun !! The location is excellent, 10 minutes away from everything !

This hostel was incredible! The view was beautiful, the location was great, and it was nice and clean! It felt very private, it wasn't super crowded and despite being over a bar it wasn't very loud either. The staff are kind and helpful and everything was very tidy and clean. Absolutely loved it! The only downside was that it was pretty cold (either because of the windows or the heaters, not sure) but be prepared for that if you are going in the winter time, pack heavy!

I paid at 11:30 and did not get a room key which was due after 12. Then I left and came back at midnight. It took me really some time to get the gate open in chilly winds, and then some longer time at the reception to get my lugguge and room key. In the morning, I was in a great rush to check out and catch my coach, but reception was closed again as staff went out to buy a bottle of milk. the environment is really good, but when I needed help, I was nearly in despair.
