nice and clean hostel. the only little inconvenience was that the water in the shower was the whole time changing from temperature.

As a character of dorms people use to care of backpackers who stay in the same room especially to leave early in the morning. The only needs to be improved were setting up a plug to use noise electronic stuff in the toilet. It may help you avoiding of any unnecessary inconviniance. Otherwise all was awesome.

Nice place. Very clean. Great staff. Free coffee and tea. Probably a bad place if you have issues with stairs. Getting the shower temperature right took a bit of work. Overall, would recommend.

I had a brilliant stay here. The staff were incredibly polite, despite our late arrival there was no problem locating a staff member to book us in. The room was incredibly clean and with very comfy beds. The toilets, landing and dining area were cleaned every few hours so the hostel was never dirty or grmey. To top it all off the location is superb. Well worth the money and I would absolutely return here, no problem.

Rather small lockers (you could only fit a few valuables inside) and very simple functional furniture... But all in all a very neat and clean hostel with great facilities and friendly staff in very central location. All you can drink coffee and tea! What do you want more?

Although above the pub there was little noise in the hostel areas (even when I arrived at 11pm on a Saturday, and the pub in full swing). Everything was nice and clean, comfy bed, friendly staff, toast cereal; & tea/coffee for breakfast. Great place to stay :)

Everything was really new and clean. The pub downstairs is great! We've had an awesome evening with some friends. The staff was quite polite and helpful. If you go to bed before the pub closes, you won't hear the noise at all. I definitely recommend this place.

Hostel was lovely and clean, and linen is really nice. Noise from bar downstairs surprisingly did not travel up to the room and it was nice and quiet. Hostel is well located on the edge of the old town. Breakfast is included which makes this very good value for money. Only complaint would be that the kitchen is very small, so we were all standing to eat breakfast. I guess it works if people get up at different times.

Simple new hostel. It's nice and clean inside, though it's pretty simple and no-frills. The toilets and showers however are pretty good. Particularly liked the free tea and coffee available too, and the free breakfast (which I presumed just got started as I arrived). Lockers didn't seem the most sturdiest however. And it would be great if the staff could open the doors more promptly when I rang from the intercom; it usually took a couple of times before someone finally opened the main door.

I really liked my stay in the Malone's. Its a newly opened hostel in the city center close to all sights. The hostel itself is newly renovated and the rooms are comfortable and simple equipped. The breakfast was alright but the kitchen was too small. The bathroom, as the entire hostel, were very clean - well done. All in all, I really recommend it and on top of that the staff is very friendly!!

Great hostel right above an Irish pub. Extremely close to lots of nightlife, restaurants, and sites. Super nice bathrooms, rooms, and showers. Not a super social hostel, but would definitely recommend it.

Best hostel I have stayed in by far! It's new so is very very clean, rooms are nice and beds are comfy. Showers are amazing and very clean again. Hotel standard! Malones downstairs is by far the best nights criac you'll get in Edinburgh! And Edinburgh is an exceptional place. Staff are very friendly and enjoy a good drink! We lost our train tickets on our last night out and the staff were friendly enough to sort us out the cheapest alternative home! Will definitely be staying there again!

Couldn't have asked for more...clean beds, clean bathrooms, excellent location...within walking distance of the sights and the nightlife! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Tea and coffee provided free of charge in the kitchen which also had a fridge that you can use to store milk and sandwich fillers if you want to do things on the cheap! Will definitely be staying here again for a girly weekend!!
