This is a good place. The food here is excellent, but the kitchen is always out of order. The staff dont speak english and seems to be rather unfriendly. This is a good place. Very dirty. Pick up didn't show up until 1 hour after the airport actually closed and after phoning them twice. When we got to the hostel the girl was very rude.Very dirty. Had a horrible experience!! Organised an airport pickup (with confirmations). Instead they just picked up some other people and left us stranded! When we finally got to the hostel, the girl was very rude to us. Just threw us in some rooms. It's a good thing I have an up to date tetanus shot too because the hostel/animal shelter was filthy! Dead mosquitoes all over the bedroom wall!The next day I was over charged for the room as they wouldn't acknowledge my online booking.

Mama Naxi is a little bit crazy. The house is absolutly beautyfull. Great place to stay. The only I don`t liked was the one shared bathroom for all. Mama Naxi is a little bit crazy. The staff is customer oriented! Papa Naxi took us to bus stop and waited with us to ensure we got on correct bus. He went on the roof to pick persimmons from the tree for us. They are great! Our room (3 bed family rm) had hot water but only a trickle, so shower was either too hot or too cold. Everything else was great. recommended stay, I'll return. The staff is customer oriented! Mixed feelings. Mama is a loudmouthed recalcitrant bully who doesn't listen to a word you say - e.g. she refused to let me do my washing in the evening, despite the fact that otherwise there would be no time for it to dry before I left. On the other hand, she is always good humoured, the tours are pretty good value and the dinner she cooks is excellent. If you want your Mama to hold your hand and organise everything for you or can manage to just block her out sometimes then I suppose it's ok!Mixed feelings. LOVED it here! Mama is some character :) and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially Joker :) The family meal is a must do!

Dirty, pets everywhere, has bugs, the first night we fought with Mama because she had given away our rooms even though we had a reservation and had called her the previous day. However, she is very hospitable (although loud) and the hostel has a very delicious family dinner that is well worth your money.
