We would even want to leave some different comment comparing to others, but that was the best week in 2012 for us and it was made really great by the Mamas&Papas hostel. Everything is great and we definitely recommend this hostel to others. Some may think, that the location of the hostel is not really great, but the public transport in Gdansk works fine and we never had any issues with it.

A very enjoyable stay. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hostel is slightly out of the main city centre area, however the buses run all night and it\'s only a few stops.

Such good staff, really went above and beyond. The suburban location lets it down (the staff were surprised when we said we had walked from the old town) - although it is handy for the airport bus.

We were a couple in a double room staying 4 nights and are very happy with the stay. Mama and Papa and their family run hostel is very kozy and all workers have charisma. Furthermore, a calm and friendly atmosphere makes you feel at home. The service is over the top, flexible breakfast times with a well provided breakfast and additional soup from papa in the evening if your lucky! The soup is very good! All in all we would highly recommend this hostel if going to gdansk!

It is not a hostel! It does not deserve 100% rating. It deserves unlimited percentage rating, its well beyond a hostel. It is more like a homestay family with its full atmospheric located in a residential area of Gdansk. Dont be put of that its a bit out of town - every 5~10mins is a bus leaving into town and easily accessible to other nearby cities/towns by its local train station. Mama and Papa will help you! They provide you also with nice home made dishes - Thanks to Papa's Mama and Mama!!!!

One of the best value hostels we've ever stayed at. Fantastic room with breakfast included. Crazy for the minimal price you pay. Dana was exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to offer assistance, including researching and printing off travel instructions for us. Dont miss out on the best pierogi in all of Poland - ask Dana for the details. Djekuje!!

We were the only guests at that time and the location was not too comfortable, however the staff was absolutely caring about us, helping us out with directions, even giving us a free towel. :-)

Honestly exceptional -- you couldn't ask for more. The rooms are clean and maintained to an incredibly high standard, the neighbourhood is safe, and everyone who works there feels like family. I'd never stayed at a hostel before where the owners offered me home-cooked food, or tried to tempt me to cake, or cared so much about their guests, or knew so much about their city! Consider a 1-day or 3-day bus pass maybe, just to make your life a little easier. A best-ever hostel experience. Thanks!

Mama and Papa were excellent. By far the MOST helpful hostel workers/owners I have ever met in my extensive travels. They consistently went above and beyond what was expected in a hostel. They provided information on how to use the bus and transit system, recommended great restaurants (that were inexpensive too!). I would strongly recommend this hostel to anyone considering a trip to Gdansk.

I love papa and mama so much, they really make me feel at home! The first night when we arrived, it was already very late. And papa and mama invited us to drink the local soup opporkowa which was made by their granny. I have to say it s really one of the best soup i have ever drunk in the world.papa dont forget to send me the recipe^^ and the hostel is cleanest one i have ever seen. Thats really important for me. If i go back to gdansk again, I will surely choose papa and mama's.

It is not a hostel, it is your home in Gdansk and you will feel this if you stay in there. There is a really lovely family in this home you will love their hospitality. This is the best hostel I have ever seen. Everything was perfect. Thank you Mama and Papa. We really liked you :) Gdansk is also the best city in Poland I think, you should see it ;)

Great owners, unspeakably awesome and "chilled" atmosphere, with many cultures clashing in this small hostel. A Polish hostel in which pretty much solely English is spoken. Intriguingly well equipped kitchens and common room (with like a thousand movies available for everyone). Clean bathrooms, free most of the time. The room and the bedsheets were slightly smelly. But that's really the only negative thing to say about Mamas and Papas. We highly recommend it to everyone.
