We stayed three nights at this family run hotel, located a 15 minute walk from downtown Santa Elena. It is clean, has plenty of hot water, good free coffee and tea all day long with homemade banana bread. A choice of American or local breakfast is included. The two brother owners, Christian and Edgar, are very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They will book any tour you like and usually at a cheaper price. Having breakfast here is an unforgettable experience because of the wildlife.
More of a Bed and Breakfast than Hostel. You can hear the other people in rooms next door, but VERY worthwhile to have the garden balcony room. We saw more wildlife sitting on the porch than hiking in the rainforest! Toucanettes in the trees, whiteface capuchins, coatis we saw 2 families. We were there with our 3 and 6 year old and never turned on any devices they loved it! Amazing homemade Banana bread!!!!!!
