Nice staff!! If you look at the peaceful and cozy like home, this is the right place to choose. Also, there is no bunk bed, which is really good as well. If you want to look at the hostel not noisy and not party at all, I would highly recommend to stay!! You will meet nice staff up, especially a Scotish guy!!

I did like this hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful. It has a very hippie, relaxed atmosphere which was great. The rooms are wonderful, spacious and cozy as well as the beds. Unfortunately I felt it was a bit far from the main parts of the town which was okay during the day but I didn't feel so safe walking back alone at night.

While the hostel was calm and quiet but close to the city, it is not the place to stay if you are hoping to meet people or be i n a social environment. People were often asleep through the day and as there I'd no common area it was hard to socialise. If you want quiet and are with a friend or two them this is fine it is simply not as social as most other Budapest hostels.

The hostel was beautifully decorated and had all the facilities you need. Great location. If you want a very quiet place to chill and not drink, Mandala is perfect

Great location, right in the centre of the city and a stones throw from all the amazing sights, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay is the staff. Everyone is incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advices, I would absolutely stay in this hostel again so, if this is your first time in Budapest, book it!!!

The hostel is in an apartment, and is like living in someone's home, complete with beds in the living room, scant privacy (the larger dorm is also a common room, and people must pass through it to get to the smaller dorm), taking off your shoes upon arrival, and couch throw type pillows. The staff are friendly though, and the atmosphere is homey. There are two cats and a dog on the premises, which is nice. Currently they have bed bugs, but once they have dealt with it, I would stay here again.

Lovely hostel and very friendly staff (& dog!)

A decent hostel that was good value for money. It's a small hostel with a maximum capacity of around a dozen, so the atmosphere was somewhat limited, although the hostel itself was cozy and conducive to people meeting.

Really nice place. Small, comfortable and funky.

Mandala hostel is exactly what I want a hostel to be. Small, cozy, friendly, intimate and clean. Whether you are looking for a nice environment to meet and get to know other travelers, or just chill out by yourself, this place makes one feel comfortable either way. It is like a home. It's a place you easily see yourself extending to just relax and use as a base to patiently get to know the city more. Highly recommended.

It's great to see the owner getting her hands dirty with volunteers. They support Work Away here and have a great team. Owner is amazingly cool and flexible. She gave me some great tips. The lay out is a bit open air as it's basically two large dorm rooms. Can get a bit "ripe" but they clean often and well. Great location near several clubs and bars. Cool vibe. Also the cat and dog add a bit of character. The cat will literally cuddle in bed with guest. I woke up with him on my chest once.

This little hostel is just magnificent. Do not expect it to be your ordinary hostel. The staff was very nice, the rooms was well decorated. Highly recommend it.
