As we arrived at the hostel, we had to pay some additionnal costs due to the sudden change of our room (although we have booked a cheaper room, which was confirmed by the administration of the hostel). Moreover the receptionnist didn't want to consider that we already paid 10% of the bill as we booked the room and consequently asked for these 10%. It's the first time we experienced troubles with this hostel . usually everything is okay.

You get what you pay for here. It's not too bad for a night or two, but the bathrooms are terrible!!! Location is good, but don't waste your time with trams if you arrive at the train stations, just get the metro all the way to Corvin Negyed!

The hostel is good but it would be better, if there is breakfast provided

First of all, the atmosphere in this hostel was very weird: people in groups, nobody answers when u say \" hi \" ... Then, at our arrival, they made us pay more than previoused, and asked us to pay an extra-fee, because we arrived at 2 am... So no reception 24 hours. The breakfast wasnt included in the price, and for me that was amazing, because usually in almost all hostels now, its included. I were with my polish friend, and we had only 1 locker for 2 persons to share ... Fortunately, we met 2 nic

Car park on street is not free during week. Hostel has car park but small not many cars can fit in. Other car park recommended by hostel is terrible (the same street few buildings away). Owner can speak only hungarian and overcharges. Otherwise good place to stay.

I think that Mandarin hostel is the perfect hostel for those who want a good value for money. Of course, it's not a luxurious hotel, but the facilities were pretty good. There're lockers and nice shower which are always clean. I actually reccomend it.

Great staff, clean kitchen, nice beds.. Loved it! Take a chance and go there. Really good connections as well, to the metro, bus and so on. Close to the mall if there happens to be something you need :)

Equipment in the kitchen was excellent. It was very clean as well. We were welcomed very kindly. However the bathroom and the toilets never had any toiletpaper available, but it looked clean enough

WE really appreciate the warm welcome of the officer and his disponibility. He was always ready to answer to our questions and to help us. We really appreciate our stay at this hotel. Thanks!

I have stayed at this hostel many times, but now I have had enough of how dirty it is. In the dorms, the cleaners do not clean the floors, all they do is empty the bin (every day), which is usually empty anyway. No sweep, no mop. Under the beds there is lots of dust, and I have been bitten by insects including bedbugs often when staying here. It is filthy. The owner charges €1.50 per person per night extra "tourist tax", to make it look cheaper on hostelworld. No locks on toilet doors or showers

It is not in the city center, but not far. The manager is very kind and allow the leave bags there if needed in the last day. Very good.

Nice common area and all, but rooms are not that clean, sheets and pillowcases are kind of clean bellow expectation, beds are uncomfortable, and though security was ok about getting inside the hostel, wasn't good at all inside: my room had a window that couldn't be closed, and the recepcionist didn't have the key for the locker and expected me to divide the locker with my travelmate. Well, the bathroom was very lousy, you couldn't even lock some of the doors you're using.

Generally a Mandarin Hostel is very nice place. It's close to city centre about 10-15 min walk, has nice living room and kind of square outside when you can drink and smoking. But I admits that a few things was not nice, for example that I must pay extra for dryer, there wasn't any free tee or coffe and the locker was broken.
