I was refused access to the toilet during cleaning hours. Very disappointing considering the fact that I paid over €20 for a bed in the dorm.

The guy who runs the place is always available and super low-key. Security is tight with two doors and buzzers. Lockout at 1:30 AM but going out in Genoa later than that is a bit seedy anyway. GET THE BREAKFAST!

Great little hostel with really helpful staff. Delivers all the basics extremely well. Clean, comfortable, secure and pretty decent wifi too. If I ever return to Genoa I will definitely stay here again!

Good hostel, good location and good lockers, really big. The area outside is a warren of streets but directions to hostel are good. Bed was modern and comfy and room good size for 5 peeps.

if a friend of mine would need a hostel in Genoa, I would definitely recommand Manena to him. It is maybe a l little expensive and the showers get dirty fast when all guests need a shower in the morning. But the staff cleans the hostel every day, you have a big locker at your disposal and the hostel is situated right in the center.

+Good Hostel. Beds comfortable. Clean. Helpful Staff. Location couldn't be better. Free walking tour was great. -The midday and 1.30 at night curfew worried me at first, but wasn't really an issue during my midweek stay. I would happily recommend Manena.

The hostel is great. Internet everywhere, big bathrooms with clean roomy showers. Great location near landmarks. The guy who is in charge is very kind and does a great job keeping a good atmosphere and respecting the silence in the rooms. My only critic is that it would be great to have private plug-in in each bed. Other than that it was the best hostel i have been in in my whole journey through Europe!

I bunked in the 12 person room, and it turned out to be a great venue for meeting awesome travelers. Way better than AirBnB, because there was always someone around, and especially people who were open to exploring. The location can be very difficult to get to, since the street signs suck in Europe, but just take some GoogleMaps detailed print outs ahead of your arrival. The wifi and power outlets are spotty, but it's the best option in Genova!

Good free wi-fi. In kitchen we met bug :( Room has high ceiling, and big windows, enough air to breath. Comfortable bed. Big locker with key (for every bed). A and M, Lithuania

The staff were quite helpful and friendly. Has good facililties and is near the center of town though a 15 min walk from the train station which isn't overly bad. One thing that really takes away from the Hostel is the Curfew and midday lockout. I think a securicty code on the front door or someother means of after hours access should be considered if possible. The midday lockout can also be slightly inconvenient and perhaps just restricting an individual area as its cleaned might be an option.

It might be the only hostel in town, so it's a good choice.

Thanks Guys! I really enjoyed my stay! The only constructive criticism I offer would be to somehow minimize the curfews/closing hours... I would definitely recommend Manena to friends of mine traveling through Genova.
