Great hostel. Very central location, staff were very helpful, and the common area and kitchen were nicely set up. The worst part was that I only stayed one night!
only stayed one night but the staff were amazing
Lots of facilities offered within the hostel and a clear effort from its staff to get amongst the best hostels in the region. A little drawback is relative to the old-city surroundings where you find lots of homeless. But this has nothing to do with the hostel where the conditions are very good.
Manena is the perfect location in Genova! I was in the city for a total of 3 days and wish I would've spent first two at Manena. Clean beds and small bathrooms. The staff was really nice, I wish I had more to say about the place but it was only one night.
my stay in the hostel was really nice, it was quite close to the center...the only two "negative" things were that there was no aircondition and that there was no walking tour through the city (I stayed only one day)
Although a bit cramped, the common room was good for socialising. I really didn't get any sleep at this hostel though, as they turn the aircon off at night so it gets hot ( apparently due to the "noise ") yet they let people stay up and make noise in the common room and you can hear everything in the doorms. Beds were squeaky too. Staff were great though and the walking tour is amazing!!
I stayed only for one night but the staff was nice and helpful. Place is clean and rooms are good. The atmoshere tough was awesome on the night I was there. Nice place if you want to meet people. Also they organized walking tour in the city which is a nice add on.
Very clean and welcoming hostel. Staff is really nice and helps a lot when it comes to discover the city. Dorms were clean, lockers are free to rent (with deposit). 1€ tax per day per person to pay. Not a party hostel, but a really nice place to stay, right in the city center. Highly recommend.
Spiro, the guy in charge is possible the nicest guy on the planet. The rooms are typical shared dorms with bunks. Bathrooms are above average. Location is pretty good, I didn't use any public transport when I was there. I like that you have to write your name on the chalkboard above your bed, it makes it less awkward when you forgot one of your roommates names. The kitchen is really nice and open to use. There was a nice friendly vibe here and I'd recommend it if you're staying a night or two.
staff were extremely friendly and helpful! central location, in the old town. clean, could maybe do with more bathrooms though, sometimes there was a queue in the morning!
Really lovely, very clean, big kitchen and incredibly helpful staff.
Excellent hostel to stay in Genova! The atmosphere was perfect, almost everyone was talking to everyone in the hostel. Staff is helpfull and very funny!
The atmosphere was sure very open and warm so we only regret we didn't spent more time there. Anyway we will come there again in case of the next visit of Genoa and we recommend the hostel to friends.

Nice and cozy place , close to town center and easy to get around. Staffs are nice and helpful. Recommended for young travellers
really nice, friendly staff :) like the idea of writing our names above our beds :)
Such a cute hostel. Spent the night hanging out and playing scrabble with new friends. Would of loved to spend more time here.
Excellent staff - Giulio was at reception and was particularly helpful with a very thorough knowledge of the city and was able to recommend a few essential sites to see in the city which I could see in my short time in Genova. The hostel is in a really superb location, right in the centre of the historic part of the city which is stunning. Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms and a nice common room. It was a shame I could only spend 12 hours in Genova which is a fantastic city.

I expected this hostel to be closer to the station and known for its location based on reviews, it seemed the longest to get to compared to other hostels I have stayed in but a easy walk to bars and the main square.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! After a lousy stay at another hostel in Italy, I was very nervous about this place. The owners are SO friendly and easy going. The place is CLEAN, SAFE, welcoming and organized. There is quiet hours late night so you're able to get sleep. This location is close to the pier and LOTS of restaurants and cafes are nearby in-between the narrow streets of Genoa. The owner made GREAT suggestions for food and sightseeing. Will definitely come back!! thanks!! Made friends too!!
