It is just perfect! A very friendly staff, a very good location, a very decent place to stay, perfect value for money. What does one need more?
Nice place to stay. Good friendly staff.
Really awesome staff, great location, and a nice place. I was there during off season, so there weren't many people there, which kinda sucked. Just some students looking for housing. But aside from that, really great place. Probably even better once tourist season picks up.
This is the best budget accommodation I could find in Genova. The hostel is very central, clean, safe and has all the facilties you need - luggage lockers, hot showers, wifi, internet terminal, breakfast, books, board games......**The hostel closes between 1100 and 130 for cleaning each day**
Lovely stay at Manena Hostel! I stayed 3 nights in the 12-bed dorm and it was great (there are other smaller rooms). The beds were actually very comfortable, they had luggage lockers available, there were several very clean bathrooms, there is a large common room and kitchen available for use, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And it's in a great location to explore Genoa - right in the middle of the historic town, and only an easy 15 minute walk from the train station.

I would recommend this hostel. It's in a good location, about a 10-15 min walk from the main train station. Genoa is really beautiful and the staff were able to recommend some good places to go for dinner and drinks. It is Clean, safe, and has modern facilities and BOARDGAMES! Yayyyyy
The hostel itself was very cool. Very rarely does one get the opportunity to stay in a medieval building in the heart of one of history's most important cities.
Maybe 15 or 20 minute walk from train station, just off the magnificent via Gharibaldi. Final directions are confusing and I had to telephone to get to the front door. Location within the city is good. Spyros Patros, a Greek living in Genoa, gives walking tours out of the hostel. Don`t miss it. The highlight of my stay.
It is a good spot as you are just 5 mins away by foot from Piazza Ferrari. The Volabus should drop you here but since it was a strike day for the bus workers (be, prepared, this happens all the time in Italy) I had to walk uphill for more than one kilmeter to the piazza as the bus driver refused to drive there. The place is just a walking dixtan ed away from the aquarium and the sea. Nice common room where you can watch and cook too, carrefour is at the corner. OK for the money you pay.
The hostel its great, also the staff and the atmosfear.. The only bad thing is, at lunch time the hostel it's closed! Anyway I recommend this hostel!
good place to stay at. friendly and very helpful staff
Small lockers and buzz to get into building. They do however basically let anybody in. Located near main square and metro and coast less than 10 mins walk. Staff gave lots of info and helped really well, wouldn't say they went above and beyond but appreciated them. Small common area can be claustrophobic but still lots of people about makes for good chat. Cleaned every day, and about 4 wash rooms so no trouble using the loo or showering. Enjoyed my stay, comfy bed too.
Emmanuel the owner had a very relaxed reassuring way about him. Really nice to have that. I honestly enjoyed the whole stay. And was very impressed with the atmosphere and location in particular. I hope in the future i stay there again. A good place. And Emmanuel, keep smiling, and dont forget to remind people that the Funicular railways can give people ac beautiful elevated view of things, away from the old town up amidst the trees and less narrow streets down below.
Clean comfortable hostel with kitchen. Centrally located about 15 min walk from station just keep and eye on the street signs!
The hostel is good in itself, good facilities and location. I was there in the off season so it was really quiet. The only thing is that the owners have a weird way of managing it. They lock it down from 10 to 3.30 to clean up, which is definitely a long time for the size of the place. There's also a curfew at 1.30 am, which i have never seen before. So you basically can't go out and if you do and miss it, you are locked out on the street. They need to.loosen up a little.
Good hostel - kitchen was great, bathrooms were a plenty but a bit run down, beds were comfy enough. Lots of people in each room but lockers
