We booked a deluxe room when we checked in we were given a below average room with no view and defiently not a treehouse bungalow as expected. We were told we could check into another room the following day no refund given. We were given a new room at the top of phi phi good view but a lot of stairs to climb. The tv worked, aircon was good
We stayed here over New Year and perhaps that was why it was so expensive 2,500 baht per night. We found much cheaper huts in nicer places on other islands after that. The positives: View was amazing, ac, mosquito net. Monkeys coming around in the morning, free transfer from pier and transfer back if you pay 60 baht, fast wifi, Robinson cruesoe style. Negatives: The walk past sewage plant, steep steps, cockroaches
For a quiet place to stay on Phi Phi you cannot go wrong with the Maney Resort. It is far enough out of Tonsai that the noise from the clubs and bars cannot be heard, yet is only a 10minute walk to the main hub of activity. Breakfast is included, the staff are helpful and they even do a free bag carry from the ferry for you! There is no social area, but with so much to do on Phi Phi you don't need one!
It was very run down and tatty, not what I was expecting. The staff were very rude at this resort and weren't friendly in the slightest. As for location it is about a 10 minute walk from the central part of Phi Phi up a dark road and steep hill. It's not the safest place to be staying, especially if you have young children. However it is in a quieter part of Phi Phi as the rest of it is loud and very busy.
