While the location isn't walking distance from the beach of Santa Marta, it's location is perfect for exploring the sites in the area such as Tayrona, Minca, Taganga, etc. It is a short walk of a couple blocks to where you can catch the colectivos or buses depending on where you're going. The owner of the hostel is incredibly friendly and knowledgable of the area and can answer any question about the touristic sites.

This was a fun and relaxing place to stay with a warm and accommodating host. He really made the experience an excellent one. His English and knowledge of the surrounding sites was excellent and the breakfast and coffee was a welcome morning addition. For our age group the site was a bit removed from the city center and air conditioning would have been welcomed as the humidity was unremitting the week we were there. The fans were just not sufficient for sleeping.

This is a local business run by the generous Lisandro! Choose this place if you want a chill, family vibe. Do not choose if you want newly renovated facilites or AC (at least as of December 2015).

As others have said, all they need is some air con in the rooms and this would be the best hostel I've stayed at! The three people running it are so friendly and helpful; it really is a home away from home. The breakfast was great and the dinner they made us (for only 12000 COP each) was amazing! They were also happy for us to cook if we wanted, but you should try the dinner one night! The location was ideal, right near a big supermarket and the bus stop for Tayrona. Thank you guys!!

This hostel was exactly what we were looking for. In fact, in the future, if we stay in hostels, we will use this hostel as our ideal model. The atmosphere was very relaxed and easy going. The temperament of the staff and the other travellers was serene and peaceful which made for a very peaceful environment that allowed one to simple relax into the slow Caribbean pace of Santa Marta and it's surrounding areas. I highly recommend this place for the calmer more mature traveller.

Good Hostel, not really known and the taxi driver took 10min to find it when we were in the right street. Very good advises from Lisandro, he is amazing! Left our bags over there for a night to go to Tayrona, had no problem. Recommended, had a good stay.

I had such a lovely time here! Lisandro was really nice, and so was everybody else. This is a small hostel/B&B, in a house just outside the city center. If you like a quiet place with a friendly and homey atmosphere, this is the place for you. I loved the yummy breakfast (freshly squeezed juice +yogurt w/ cereal +nice portion of well cooked scrambled eggs on toast +cofee/tea); the really good WiFi and the location (close to all the buses and a big supermarket). Only con: no A/C. Recommended!
