This place is located away from the madness of the cruise ships which made us very happy. Martin at the desk was helpful with all questions. Since we were so late in the season staying there the restaurant was closed. However, we found a restaurant called Herme to the left of this hostel that was a mom and pop place. Awesome food and cheap.
Great room in a great location--right in the heart of Old Town. Nice and quiet, not too mobbed by the cruise boaters who tended to take over the town during the day. Only complaint would be that we had a hard time figuring out the operating hours. We got in very early, so we didn't expect the place to be open, but there were no operating hours posted. We returned after 9 am, when we expected everything to be open, and still no one to be seen. Otherwise, great place to stay, once we got in!
A good choice for Old Town Rhodes - if you don't need 5 star. Average sized rooms, but airy and comfortable. Position couldn't be better. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to a dozen tavernas in a three minute radius. All the basics - shower, cleanliness, security etc - covered. Don't try to get here at night - taxis can't get through the tiny lane ways of the Old Town, and don't know where the hotel is. Try to arrange a transfer with the hotel when you book.

Fantastically located, super-friendly staff, nice and clean, great rooftop garden, well equipped rooms, Mango Rooms has it all. We were there in early October, so the restaurant was closed and things were quieter in town. The hostel doesn't really have a "common room" space and no real food prep area (does have a fridge + electric kettle per room), but those are small complaints. Altogether, highly recommended!
