Property Information:
Brand new for 2013, the Mango Tree now has a sister hostel in Ilha Grande. Set on a quiet side street 50m from Abraao beach our new hostel offers an unbeatable location close to the waterfront and a short walk from the bars and restaurants.
The hostel has a chalet style reception area with a covered deck for breakfast. There are eight private ensuite rooms with double bed. All our rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, sprung mattresses and mini fridge.
All double ensuite rooms with AC, fan and mini fridge. Some rooms have an extra pullout bed and can accommodate a third person. Sprung mattresses, cotton sheets and towels are provided.
Come and relax in a hammock with a cold beer or fire up the bbq and enjoy the amazing beauty of this chilled out island. Ilha Grande offers amazing hiking in the rainforests, day trips to far flung beaches, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking and plenty of restaurants serving the fresh catch of the day.
If you have to cancel your booking, you must do it at least 48hrs before arrival.

Latest Review
Very friendly and helpfull staff. I booked for 3 nights but stayed only two because I misread that there is no Internet available (by the time I was there, maybe has changed now) and a kitchen to use. Anyway I could shorten my stay without any problems. The place is quiet and close to the beach but a bit of a walk into the main area. Breakfast was good. I would definetely recommend that place for people who want to chill out.

This property has a 2 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
Ask at reception for a range of boat trips to Lopes Mendes, Lagoa Azul and around the island. Scuba diving and kayak hire are also available on request.
At present we do not accept credit cards. You will need to ensure you have sufficient cash to pay for your stay when you arrive. There are no ATM's on Ilha Grande.
