Staff were very friendly and helped me organise my onward travel. The room was spotless and cleaned daily & was very comfortable for the price. Only slight criticism was that the lock on the room door didn't work properly, but the villa was patroled by security in the nights so wouldn't have been too much of a security issue.

You can find must better location and quality for half the price. Got a room where there were almost no light. Just two small windows. At night a mann came twice to our door and tried to get us to let him in. No security at all. Not much atmosphere here. Fund a nother place Baby Red Fish for half the price and much more value for money.

Manidi Villa was the only disappoinment in our 3 weeks vacation in Sri Lanka. We stayed only one night, being blackmailed by the owner to leave unless we pay almost double than the confirmed price on hostelworld voucher. The lady owner refused to provide our room (deluxe with AC) on the price of hostelworld site (30 usd/night Mon-Friday, and 40 usd/night weekend). She asked for 50 usd/room, "if you dont like it, you go". She was extremely rood and unprofessional. Big disappoinment.

I enjoyed my stay but found that like everywhere in Sri Lanka it would have been a lot cheaper not to book from home but just rock up in town and look for a place to stay. Rooms were nice, the only improvement would be a curtain over the window so that the room wasn't so bright in the morning.
