Value for money is not good. Way too expensive compared to what you actually get. Nice staff and people, but I expected way more! The location is really good, so there's huge potential here. Kitchen was dirty, full of cockroaches and poorly equipped. Where's the knives? Bathroom was ok, but still kinda dirty. Ok hostel, but considering the price; not good.

Cold and dirty showers. Most uncomfortable beds ever! Dingy place altogether. Staff however we're very pleasant and helpful and it was in a good location.

Positive: Very close to Manly beach, great location. Nice terrasse, very clean and nice bathrooms, drying racks for laundry. BUT: The Manager is cold and unfriendly. Price per night is really expensive. Wifi, plates cutlery and towels are considered as EXTRAS and NOT INCLUDED in the price. You even need to pay to attend any of the social events. Lots of long-stay people not necessarily sociable. Cockroaches in the corridors, kitchen, common areas. Only 1computer on 3 working. NO FREE BIKES

This was the dirtiest hostel I've ever stayed in and I've been backpacking for 8 months all over the world. There are cockroaches in the bathroom, bedrooms and kitchens. The bedroom I stayed in was so filthy it didn't look like it had been cleaned properly for years. You'd be better off staying in Sydney and getting the ferry over every day as it's cheaper and you won't have to stay in this vile place.

Really small rooms, no space for lockers. Just a place to stay, if you need a place to stay.

This place is very very unclean. There is no need for it to have this poor standard. There was snot and gum next to my bed and the hall smelled like wet socks. Owner clearly does not care

The hostel is pretty basic, not the cleanest, and its not that modern either.. But its got a bed, and a fan, so it wss fine! The woman on reception is lovely! The movie room is top if you want a chill out movie night! Its right near the beach, and the corso. Everythings pretty close together in Manly so the location is great, and Manlys top too!

Good location close to the beach and town center. As with most hostels in Australia the WiFi wasn't free, security wasn't great, it was kinda dirty and it cost more than it was worth. If you are going to do a hostel though this one is still probably your best bet.

Patricia behind reception was absolutely top class! Helped with everything. I would go back again just because of her

Hostel was a prime location, literally seconds from the beach. The atmosphere was a little intense at times. Couldn't really get to sleep at times due to the layout of the place. Place was dirty at certain places and sand everywhere, no matter where you go, due to the location of the beach in close proximity. Recommended for surfers and beach goers.
