For the 2nd time there. Nice colourfull rooms. They've problems with bedbugs at the moment, i was lucky, had a bed without them. Nice people and staff!

The place has BEDBUGS and my friend who is allergic to insects got nasty bites. When we first went to the reception the guy working there said that there was nothing that could be done about it and the manager was gone over the weekend. WE were booked for 4 more nights, only stayed 2, had to wash all our clothes - to a cost of 8 dollars that we paid out of own pocket, and slept in the same beds. When we talk to management we were given NO REFUNDS for expenses like new backpack and washing.

Very messy and dirty! They had bedbugs in the rooms. The dishes were all dirty. The floor was covered with dirt. The other guests were very nice and friendly though. Overall, I really wouldn't recommend to stay there.

The lock on my room didn't work so the security is really low even if they have a passcode for the two main entrances to the hostel. Also the tea towels weren't changed regularly. That was really disgusting because you could see the remainders of food on the towel :S

A nice Hostel when half empty and when it felt peaceful and was cheap and in a nice area by the sea. This time however it was packed and the electric stove with 2 microwaves were not enough for the 30 or so people that were there. Noise was a problem from the pub over the road until midnight, thankfully it was good music but i was struggling to sleep even with earplugs. The long term stayer next to me started watching the Simpsons at 12.30 AM loudly in bed until i told him to turn it down,

This hostel was great because it was right on the harbor and surrounded by restaurants, a grocery store, a bunch of ATMs, and a post office. It is located in Manly, which turns out to be a 40 mnute train ride into the city, which isn't ideal, but it is in a super nice neighborhood. It is quite noisy at night, but if you have earplugs it's all good. The whole hostel was a little dirty, but that probably had more to do with the people staying there, than the staff?.

I realise hostels are not the best place to get some sleep after a long flight and that is fair enough but i slept in a room where we couldnt shut the windows because the room was too muggy. Therefore we got the noise and the yelling fromthe pub across the road, which was basically open to the street. Minimal sleep for 3 nights plus there were no blinds on the windows so first thing you had light beaming in. Never and toilet paper for the 1 male toilet. Staff were friendly however.

Great food from the Manly Deck bar. I bit high end looking for a hostel, but excellent meal special. $9.50 steak, chips and salad. Add a beer on comes out to $18.50 bit much for beer, but what can you do. It's Australia. Expensive alcohol tax everywhere. Not to mention this, but it was quite disturbing in the common area that you walk through to your rooms, a old dude was masterbating under a blanket on the couch. Very unexceptable. Probably won't stay here ever again cause of price+vibe

The hostel is located quite a bit outside Brisbane and we only stayed one night. The kitchen and fridge was dirty and in the morning there was no cutlery/ crockery as it was not cleaned by other backpackers after they had dinner the night before. Beds were very soft and linen did not smell clean.

Had a great stay, the backpackers is in a great location and kept very clean and tidy. While just being a simple bed in a dorm, the place was comfortable and welcoming with a huge loungeroom with plenty of VHS tapes to watch and couches to sit on along w/ a full kitchen for guest use. Stayed in female dorm which was huge and only 8 beds so not too crowded.
