So, the note saying you'll give a free beer or free stay for a good review is probably illegal or should be. Seriously, pull yourselves together.
Should not be listed as "in Brisbane" as it is a least half an hours drive from the city. The owner had terrible people skills and was extremely unhelpful.

Nice place to stay more than a week, no beach around but lots of mud. Internet worked fairly well, free breakfast is a bonus. Good facilities. the only complaint would be the mattresses, basically a 10cm foam.
Quite a boring hostel, far away from everything. 40 min by train to Brisbane city. Not the nicest staff and you can't count on getting breakfast every morning even though they say it's included
I don't understand why this hostel has such a low rating. The staff are really nice and accommodated my late check-in. It's relatively clean and there are good common areas. The wifi was free and the connection was good. Negatives would be that there was no duvet/ sheet on the bed so I had to use my shirt and security is not great. No lockers in the room, seemed to be in the hall but I only spent one night so I didn't ask and people in the room tend to leave the door unlocked.
I can't quite see why this hostels review score is so low. The guy in reception gave me a quick tour of the facilities and was quite helpful. The hostel has nice wall art, themed rooms, lockers if you need and an okay sized kitchen/common room. 8 bed dorm I was in was clean. There was live music from outside, but at 10 pm all went quiet. Proper aircon would be a big plus, but this goes for lots of other hostels too. 20 min to CBD by train, but station is near. No free beer given for review.. :-)
its about an hours train ride from Brisbane city centre which wasnt made clear. Bedroom Window didnt close so when it rained heavily the bed got wet also. The Staff are never in the office so impossible to get help. In the breakfast included there was not even tea or coffee.
