If you like feeling depressed, this is the place for you. It's about as friendly as the London tube (eye contact forbidden, saying something outrageous like 'hello' may startle fellow guests). The staff seem to regard backpackers as 2nd class citizens and the younger fella needs a major attitude check as he is just outright rude for no reason. The location is far from everything - an hour on the train to Brisbane. Stay elsewhere....

Nearly everything was good. A bit annoying was the case that you could only use the Wifi before the kitchen and not in the kitchen or the living room, so that you had to stay on the floor all the time you had to use the internet. Secondly the printer didn't work; this was also annoying. The rest was fine ;)

Its very clean, the kitchen hardware is clean and functional. If you have transport, this is perfect - cheap and clean, bar next door, IGA across the street, coles 20min by foot or 5min by car.

We booked this for the price so you get what you pay for. No atmosphere whatsoever, only one toilet for each gender and 3 showers. Bathrooms gross. The bar attached to the hostel was probably the best thing about it but meals were quite expensive at night time ($18-30). About 45 minute train ride to the city.

Staff were rude, bar closed by 10 most nights, came away riddled with bed bug bites!

Good hostel if you plan to visit Stadbroke or Moreton island, with good facilities and excellent prices. But if you come here to be in Brisbane you are too far from everything and both the hostel and Manly lack any atmosphere

We arrived late in the evening and it still wasent a problem to check in. The stuff was super friendly and the rooms were clean! Free WiFi and free Breakfast were very good as well and totally worth the money. We can absolutly recommend the hostel to any backpackers!

I had a really good time staying here it was really clean and everyone was really nice. Sure it is not in the city but it is right by the beach where there is a free ocean pool or a public pool that only cost $5 to get. They where doing a lot of things to make the place better like they just put in a new air con system and where about to put in a new wifi receiver for the free wifi all in all I had a good time and I will be back :)
