The only reason I like this place is because of the people I stayed with, when I first got there no one was in reception so I waited for nearly an hour outside as I had no credit. They don't tell you it's 17 stops on the train, 10min walk, 8 on the tram with another 10min walk uphill it was like going across the whole city, reception was apologetic but I was already annoyed, not in my top 5

if you want to sleep with mouses and bed-bugs, this is the better place

I´m not picky when it comes to hostels, but this one wasn´t my cup of tea. You almost never see the staff, ther´s no common room and overall it feels pretty claustrophobic. Located on a pretty shady street aswell.

Arrived at 9pm and no-one was there. Someone in the street let us use his phone to call. 15 mins later the manager? arrived and said that the twin room we booked was unavailable, so we had to stay in the dorm. He offered a discount for this which turned out to actually be the normal price after we did the conversion. Trying to save money by a 'minimalist' staffing? Places already on websites like hostelworld don't need to have good customer services? A simple hotel nearby was cheaper & better!

Close to Galata tower, however its about 30mins walk to grand bazaar and blue mosque - we paid for public transport each day 4 lira each way so it added up. No maps provided from hostel and could only talk to staff avaliable after 2pm which was difficult. Coming back after day out no one seemed to be around for help as they don't stay at the hostel for long each day. But great price for a small apartment to ourselves.
