Maple Leaf Inn Shuhe Reviews

Water coming out from the shower head is very thin and small, difficult to shower. Especially under cold weather condition.

Friendly and helpful owners - arranged some trips and transport tickets for us. Very nice rooms as well. Good location inside the Shuhe old town although hard to find. Shuhe is a much nicer alternative to stay in than Lijiang old town (and still nearby).

Had a really wonderful and relaxing stay and loved the help and travel arrangements. Will definitely return.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, THE STAFF IS REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, THEY HEARTLY ASSISTED ME WITH MY FURTHER TRIP. ROOMS ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE, PRETTY CLEAN AND FINE FURNISHED.THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE OF THE HOSTEL IS REALLY ENJOYABLE, WE SPENT THREE WONDERFUL DAYS STAYING THERE. MANY THANKS TO ALL THE NICE PEOPLE WE MET THERE:D

Very friendly and helpful staff. They speak excellent english (and the owner speaks Dutch too !!). High quality rooms. Excellent value for money, though this is not exactly a hostel

The rooms here were really nice, as were the family, we spoke alot with the owner and his kids were also sweet (his daughter went to collect us when we first arrived in Shuhe). Its quiet and comfortable. Shuhe is outside of Lijiang by several kilometres but this didn't bother us, transport into town is very cheap and easy and its a much more peaceful area than Lijiang old town. We weren't in the area to party so this was fine.

In additional to the electric blacket, the hostel should provide heater during winter, even if it is a portable type as not all guests are able to take the coldness.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the location particularly. However, the website had given the impression that there was more catering available and there was nowhere warm to sit in the evening or even to have breakfast in the morning. If one room could be converted to a common room so that parents have somewhere to sit in the evening after children have gone to bed it would be great.

If you lack heating systems in the dead of winter, please make it known a little more clearly.
