Paradise affordable. This is a perfect example of what Eco-Turism is all about. Comfortable accomodation, good food, very friendly staff some of whom are good musicians too. Maqai was an unforgettable trip and I can't wait to go back! If you want to do nothing all day, you can. If you want your day full of activities - that's cool too. If you want a TRUE Fijian experience then this is the place to go. Way off the beaten backpacker track, on a beautiful private beach you will find the coolest staff, good food and fun activities. Really sad to leave as we have made some great friends here. It is a great laid back island paradise. No frills, heaps of fun. It takes a bit of effort to get there but is definitely worth it. Its not just for surfers.
