What an awesome place to stay! We loved the people and the facilities. An overall great atmosphere. A little far from downtown though. 20 minute walk.

It's a great hostel, only two problems: 1-It's so far from center town, but it's in front of the beach! and 2-There are too many mosquitos, but I could solve it buying a mosquitoes net in a local shop. I've never seen before a hostel with this price and rooms with a/c, really thank!

Very good stay. Great people working and running the place. Is more rustic but suits a chilled out stay in Bocas.

Really nice hostel, we only stayed here one night and for us it was a bit far out of town so we decided to move, but only really based on the location. Cynthia on reception was super nice and helpful and made us feel really welcome.

I was a little dissapointed with the size of the room. We had booked a twin ensuite, when in reality it was just a dorm room with two bunk beds. It was extremely small and wasn't worth te money that we spent. However the rooms did have air conditioning which was a blessing. The staff were excellent and willing to help.

We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the hostel. There were hammocks to relax in and a nice bar area that was perfect for hanging out and talking with friends. It was nice being across the street from the beach, but it was a long walk to the main street where all of the bars and restaurants are, so we took a cab most of the time. The staff was friendly, but a little too strict with the kitchen. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

Although it was pretty cheap I didn't find the actual value for money that great. If all you want is cheap then ok. However, there was some sort of rodent crawling in our ceiling at night and the sheets had a crusty blood stain on them. The location is very far out of town and the 20 minutes in the heat can get a bit tiring. You can take a taxi but in all honesty that's just a nuisance.

OK without being exceptional and the staff are friendly. It helps if you like reggae. because they play it a lot. Thursday is a good day to be there because they do a barbecue in the evening. On other nights, try one of the local eateries, which are much cheaper than those downtown and you´ll probably be the only gringo there. Also, don´t forget the mosquito repellent.

Great vibe and wonderfully decorated! A little far from the town and was a little hard to fin getting off the plane. But the atmosphere, bar, and staff definitely made up for it.

Fabulous and fantastic I would highly recommend, lovely. But I was disappointed with the shuttle service bought through the big black raster guy. I thought I was getting a shuttle to San Jose. He should have explained that I would be dropped in Puerto Viejo and be bought a bus ticket by the driver to continue my journey by public bus. I thought I was going directly to San Jose and would have gladly paid more, I felt betrayed and cheated This marred my experience of an otherwise wonderful stay.

Little rough around the edges but price to value - ratio is good.

The rooms are a great deal for the price. Just be prepared to battle mosquitoes. Relaxing area and hammocks with ocean view were great. This hostel is generally pretty comfortable except for the rooms being infested with mosquitoes.
