Maracuya is in a great location uphill from the town craziness, but still very close to everything, including a 2 min walk to the beach. The terrace is very nice and the breakfast served (banana or chocolate pancakes made to order) was delicious. The front desk staff helped us arrange a cab to San Jorge with a driver we met earlier during our trip. Compared to the other hostels I saw around town, I would choose to stay here again.
This place was incredible. Carlos at the front went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Cute hangout areas, great rooftop hangout and breakfast area, A/C worked great. The local cat was a nice, friendly touch. Beds comfy. Tons of info available for around town. 5min walk to beach and bars/shops. I'd stay here again!
It is a really nice place, located on the top of the hill, with a perfect view of the lovely city of San Juan!
Great Hostel! The room was by far the best that we had stayed in all of Nicaragua. The only downfall was that if you wanted AC you needed to pay an extra $18 per night. I really didn't think this was reasonable. Again, as others have mentioned there is steep hill to walk in order to get to the hotel. This was difficult but the positives outweigh this minor detail. Breakfast was great and you get to eat it on a terrace which overlooks the entire town and has a semi-nice view of the beach.
