The dorm is nice, but it has some cons: no way to lock the doors, cold showers only, and occasional visit of cockroaches. For the rest, the atmosphere is really nice, the staff is friendly, even though pretty slow (Fiji time!). The location is great, and Taveuni is so amazing.
Staff is amazing, always there for you to help, fun to hang around...it can't get better. The whole hotel/hostel is set up very nicely with a huge green garden and pool. Dorms are good. Breakfast is little but you can buy eggs etc for a small amount of money. A kitchen is offered to cook meals and save money. Prices of meals on the menu are fair and not as exaggerated as in other places in Fiji.
This is a very beautiful resort with luxury construction, sounding by tropical and fruit trees, walkable to the airport, beach, shops, restaurant etc. During the days we spent on there, there were not many guests, and we enjoyed the feeling of renting out the whole resort. Staffs were friendly. Although our ferry was delayed for 3 hours when arriving, the staff still waited us for transfer. We are very appreciate to the free transfer to airport finally.
Maravu is A.MA.ZING. I was thinking about staying there a couple of weeks and then move around, but I ended up staying there five weeks. The location is great, the accommodations are stellar for a hostel, and the staff is just the best. All you want for a nice, sunny vacation. Oh, and the food is great!
