I had a very pleasant stay with my friends ad Mare - Rooms for rent. Natasa and her mother were very kind and helped us with everything we needed. The location was also perfect with a very nice view! I enjoyed my stay in Dubrovnik a lot! :)

Location wise, this was right next to the main bus port which was absolutely brilliant, the only reason we didn't give 100% is because you had to take a bus to get to old town. The staff were lovely and extremely welcoming - true Croatian hospitality! They even recommended visiting a lesser known island (lopud) for our second day which we did and it turned out to be our favourite day of our holiday! Had a good stay overall, and would consider staying there again!

Really friendly owner and dog. Right by the bus station which goes to the old town and not far from the ferry port- really ideal for anyone passing through for a few days who wants a good price.

This hostel was really convenient for us since it was near the bus station in Port Gruz and easy to find,, so it was a great place to stay our first night in Dubrovnik. It was very clean and had a lovely view. However, it was a 10 min bus ride from old town; walking would be about 45 min. Facilities were very clean and accessible; the one downside is that there was no stove to cook on (we didn't really need this anyways though). We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and helpful.

The maid was quite rude. Felt very unwelcome after checkout (10AM). Room was basic but nice - view was excellent.

Lola the welcome dog greeted us with a loving embrace and short barking. Natasa, the owner, was very helpful and gave us welcome juice and a map reading upon arrival. stayed in a private room, excellent value for the money. certainly will return!

Future visitors should thoroughly find out how to get to the hostel before arriving, because apartments at Croatia are not the most accessible, and the streets would be rather confusing at first. Nevertheless, the staff at Mare was extremely helpful and friendly: they managed to show us where to park our car despite the language barrier. Common facilities were also in excellent condition.

We had a great stay at Mare - Rooms for Rent. We loved the place and the city. They were so friendly. We actually stayed here twice. The weather was warmer for the second stay, so they added a fan to the room. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Dubrovnik.

Hospitality was amazing. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We were given welcome juice by the mother and were welcomed warmly into the hostel. Already missing Natasya, her mom and of course Lola, their lovely dog. Natasya's mom is a lovely woman and really friendly. It is just a few minutes walk to the main bus station and not too far to get to Old Town by bus. Buses to the Old Town is pretty frequent as well as there are many buses that go to the Old Town. Would definitely come back!

Mare guesthouse had great staff and was a 2 minute walk from the dubrovnik main bus station. It's a great location if you are doing day trips out of dubrovnik and need the bus. It's about a 35 minute walk to the old town. The guesthouse has an amazing view of the harbour and was very clean and quiet.

A lovely family home with three immaculate guestrooms on the upper floor. Rooms were large with stunning views of the sea. There's a small kitchen which we used to make our breakfast each morning (there's a massive supermarket about 5 minutes away). The guesthouse is up some steps, hence the view. Location is so central - 45 min walk to old town, but so close to different harbours and also good starting point for other walks. Natasa the owner gives great info as to what to do as well. Stay here!
