BY FAR THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE STAYED!!! I can not tell you all the good things about this place without writing an essay, the lady running it was so kind and sweet. The rooms were perfect, the bathroom was great with a tub included!! The kitchen was just what we needed! There was an outdoor terrace with an AMAZING view! Right by the bus station, only a 20 minute walk to old town and it's located in a cheaper quieter neighborhood with a huge supermarket minutes away. Would highly recommend!!!!!!!

Very accommodating and nice hosts, exactly what we needed for our one night stay. Great location and facilities and did our washing for a good price and very quickly!

Only stayed for about 14hrs overnight as a pass through so didn't really use many facilities or spend much time here except for a few hours sleep. Staff were great, located close to the bus terminal, and simple to get to Old Town by local bus from in front of bus terminal.

Natasa and her mother were very helpful, there was a very homely atmosphere. When we arrived we were given a cold drink and a map and told how to get around Dubrovnik. It is located at the top of a large set of stairs but that didn't bother us. It was a really nice place to stay!

Very welcoming landlady who spoke excellent English and gave us lots of information. Convenient for bus station but a bus ride away from Dubrovnik old town. Our room did not have sea view and was quite basic for the price.

- it's very hard to find if you don't have a GPS. You can't go near by car; - 4 km from the old city - the room was clean, we had a small kitchen; no TV - the owner was very friendly, we were offered free juice and tips about the city

A very good alternative to staying in the expensive centre of Dubrovnik. Very close to both the (international) bus station and the regular bus stop, so it is easy to get there and to go into town.

Lovely well kept apartment and bathroom in perfect location to dubrovnik port and bus station. Lovely owners. My only mention is beware the many stairs up to it but this is something pretty much every place in dubrovnik has with a view so worth it :)

We have enjoyed a lot our stay at Mare house. The owners were very kind and helped us with a difficult situation in the end. The view is wonderful but be careful if you cannot climb many stairs because you cannot reach the hostel without climbing them. However Dubvrovnik is a city that is surrounded by mountains and it´s not easy to find an accomodation without stairs. I would definitely recommend this place.

Well, the first view at Mare may not be very good but don't get mislead - It is a charming place! Maybe it is not a brand new, maybe it is not easy to find (the street you have to find is hidden and easy to miss) and maybe it is far from the old city BUT it's still a very good place to stay in Dubrovnik. We cannot describe the feeling when you are driniking the cold beer on the terace with the view at sea and ships, priceless... Natasa is great and friendly! I would recommend it for certain!

My stay was very nice. It is a house of a very nice croatian old lady, however I did miss the air conditioned.

The staff are lovely and very friendly and the place is very clean. It is in a good location next to the bus station, but a 15 minute bus trip to the old town. Most accomodation in Dubrovnik is overpriced and so is this for what you get. Much of the interior is old and dated. It is a good place to stay, but is not worth the price tag. If it was betwen 10 and 20 Euros, it would be spot on, but not for 40 euros. It is a better option instead of a dorm in a hostel in town, which is the same price!

Our room here was lovely with lots of space and a beautiful view of the sea. Bathroom was shared but this was fine and the kitchenette had everything that you needed. Location for us was great as is very close to the bus station and ferry terminal, so perfect for day trips to nearby islands. You can walk to the old town - takes about 40 mins but feels less as it is very pretty but you can also get the bus. Close to a massive supermarket too and restaurants. Great place and had no problems!!

Very close to the bus station, where you can take every few minutes a bus towards the city center. Also bus terminal for long distance busses is in a walking distance of 5 min. Supermarkt is also close to the flat.

Very kind woman running things with her mother. She was accommodating and quite helpful.

Everything was great. It was easy to take a bus to old town and the place where ferries leave to islands was 5 mins walk away from the hostel. There was pretty many steps to climb up to the hostel but that wasnt a problem. With a wheelchair it might be pretty hard to go to the hostel except you have wings on it.
