Located in an old historic building and easy walk to downtown, very thin walls so noise carries and difficult to sleep when others are talking until after 2:30 am. The woman running the hostel did not seem to want guests and was not friendly or welcoming. Her attitude affected the atmosphere of the place. Guests were told they could not stay because it was full but they were not many people there. It wasn't the nice fun atmosphere I was expecting.
The perfect place in Puerto Varas...no need to look further!
Very nice hostel! Very cozy room and very helpfull staff (thanks again for hot water, good advice and hospitality!) Kitchen has everything necessary. Great place to stay - although the TV takes over the cozy common room, when watching the oscar movies...Location is perfect to stroll to local supermarkets, do the citytour by foot or start your organized tour. Would recommended it! Thanks again!
Great stay (1 week in double room) in very atmospheric building with great hosts. Garden is lovely, inside is very cosy, local information by staff is fabulous - above and beyond! Very, very clean. Can get a bit rowdy in the late afternoon with kids running in and out of English classes and furniture being dragged around downstairs. Would definitely recommend to others and have already done so.
This hostel was fantastic. I went on a kayak/hike organized by the owner. It was a great way to see the area and was also really reasonably priced. A hostel either makes or breaks your stay somewhere. I would definitely recommend this hostel. It was also quiet. The hostel starts a quiet hour at 11pm.

Super Awesome staff, lovely building, comfy beds, hot showers and an amazing atmosphere. STAY HERE.
The house has lots of character with nice comfy beds and big dorm rooms. Lovely staff which really made for a happy stay :))
In overall, I liked very much the hostel. Very good location, the staff is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere quiet. Maybe one thing which needs attention is the cleanliness of the bed linen. For couples who are searching for double beds: another very good option is "Hostal Melmac Patagonia". Rooms are bigger and cleaner, but also colder and more expensive. You have to weigh. Have luck! It's avery nice house made of wood in an old style. The house is very cosy and there are comfortable beds. I never slept in such a comfortable hostel bed. If I return to Puerto Varas I would stay there again and I would recommend it to other travellers as well.
I really enjoyed my stay here! Close to town. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Offer lots of movies for chilled out nights:-) Great kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The house is traditional, which means floor boards are slightly creaky and hot water isn't always hot. You won't be disappointed!
Very nice hostel and very nice staff. Huge rooms and warm atmosphere.
Someone else noted the fact that there is no breakfast, although there is hot water for coffee in a thermos. It would be nice if they had a CanOpener, at least! Also, hot water for showers is hard-to-find after 9 AM. But there are over 100 good movies on their hard disk, with a large flatscreen to watch them on!
Maybe the best hostel in the region. Quite near to the center and both bus terminals. The place itself is a attraction in the town, but at the same time is quiet. Just the walls could be a bit thicker, we heard every sound our neighbors were making!
Hostel was very nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything was clean and staff very helpful. Hostel is up a hill, near bus terminal but not the town or lake but not too far! Would stay here again.
Very helpful staff and tours that are worth the money! Had a good time there, would definitely come again!
I wish they offer free breakfast, that would be perfect! Kitchen is a bit small. I love their spacious room and big lockers!
Had a short stay here, very good. Would have liked to do some of the kayaking and trekking tours but we we're moving on. Rented bikes reasonable price and well maintained. Good kitchen and helpful staff
A great place to stay in an historic house with an attentive, friendly staff.
I only stayed one night, but the hostel seemed really nice. Good atmosphere, helpful staff and good facilities
One of the few hostels that is perfect in every way! Great facilities, clean large kitchen with all the necessary equipment and most importantly fantastic owners and a great team! Fantastic atmosphere where you can feel at home quietly reading a book or chatting with other travelers! Make sure you do the sunset kayak trip, one of the highlights of my trip so far!
