I visited Puerto Varas in winter and this place was very clean, comfortable and the staff was so helpful. They made sure I had everything I needed. Gave me a lot of advice on the best places to go. The bedroom was great and cosy. Super hot showers. Very cosy living room. Loved the feel of the place, felt like home.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. The owner, Pierre, was so accommodating and helpful with activities to do around Puerto Varas. The facilities were amazing, cozy bed and warm shower, kind of chilly at night but not awful. Gorgeous shared spaces. It's up a hill far from the center of Puerto Varas (10 min walk), about a 7-8 min walk from Turbus station the other way, but location really wasn't a problem. Absolutely recommend!

I still regret having been there only for one night. It was one of the best hostels Ive been to. The staff was great, i got to know a lot of nice people, they dont offer breakfast but you get a voucher for one of the best cafes where you can have a really good and cheap breakfast. The evening I was there was the last evening of one of the staff so we did a pre in the hostel and went out afterwards. everything was really clean, the citchen is perfect for whatever you wanna cook.

Very nice hostel! Very cozy room and very helpfull staff (thanks again for hot water, good advice and hospitality!) Kitchen has everything necessary. Great place to stay - although the TV takes over the cozy common room, when watching the oscar movies...Location is perfect to stroll to local supermarkets, do the citytour by foot or start your organized tour. Would recommended it! Thanks again!

Great stay (1 week in double room) in very atmospheric building with great hosts. Garden is lovely, inside is very cosy, local information by staff is fabulous - above and beyond! Very, very clean. Can get a bit rowdy in the late afternoon with kids running in and out of English classes and furniture being dragged around downstairs. Would definitely recommend to others and have already done so.

This hostel was fantastic. I went on a kayak/hike organized by the owner. It was a great way to see the area and was also really reasonably priced. A hostel either makes or breaks your stay somewhere. I would definitely recommend this hostel. It was also quiet. The hostel starts a quiet hour at 11pm.

The house has lots of character with nice comfy beds and big dorm rooms. Lovely staff which really made for a happy stay :))

In overall, I liked very much the hostel. Very good location, the staff is helpful and friendly and the atmosphere quiet. Maybe one thing which needs attention is the cleanliness of the bed linen. For couples who are searching for double beds: another very good option is "Hostal Melmac Patagonia". Rooms are bigger and cleaner, but also colder and more expensive. You have to weigh. Have luck! It's avery nice house made of wood in an old style. The house is very cosy and there are comfortable beds. I never slept in such a comfortable hostel bed. If I return to Puerto Varas I would stay there again and I would recommend it to other travellers as well.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Close to town. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Offer lots of movies for chilled out nights:-) Great kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The house is traditional, which means floor boards are slightly creaky and hot water isn't always hot. You won't be disappointed!

Very nice hostel and very nice staff. Huge rooms and warm atmosphere.

Someone else noted the fact that there is no breakfast, although there is hot water for coffee in a thermos. It would be nice if they had a CanOpener, at least! Also, hot water for showers is hard-to-find after 9 AM. But there are over 100 good movies on their hard disk, with a large flatscreen to watch them on!

Maybe the best hostel in the region. Quite near to the center and both bus terminals. The place itself is a attraction in the town, but at the same time is quiet. Just the walls could be a bit thicker, we heard every sound our neighbors were making!

Hostel was very nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything was clean and staff very helpful. Hostel is up a hill, near bus terminal but not the town or lake but not too far! Would stay here again.
