Its a very good place to stay, specialy in private rooms.

The character and cleanliness depends on what you want. This is an old soviet style student dorm, and the 1st floor is still in use by students from Budapest. It depends what you want but the service is great and its a damn cheap. One of the best I have stayed at all things considered.

Good hostel, definitely worth its price. You get what you expect for 8 euros: a clean room, a quiet place with a bit of character. We had a fridge in our room, which was reall nice to grab your own cold beer for the night.

I thought after a week of camping at Sziget festival it would be a treat to be on a 'real' bed and to have nicer toilet and shower facilities. But i was completely wrong. It was a LOT worse. The place couldnt have been dirtier. Everything was broken! I wouldnt come back here. Though Budapest is brilliant!!!!!!

Dirty, no tap water running in the toilets, single room with only a mattress to sleep on. If I was sleeping over at a friends place like this, it would be ok, but paying for something like this , waste of money. Very worn down place. Location was good by the tram line nr. 4 & 6, and I like that there was a fridge in the room. There was no fan, so it was pretty much sleeping like in a sauna. Met a cool Italian couple staying at the same hostel, they made my stay.

if it is charming is only because it reminds a very old students dormitory structure, which still keeps a special essence. the inner yard is also very nice, but it is reeeeeeeeeaally old and doesn t look as fresh and joyful as many other hostels. it is not dirty but it is neither the cleanest place ever. the staff are ok but they could be nicer. bad thing: there are not lockers. good thing: you can take a 3 people room and it is pretty cool to sleep with less posibilities of snooooooringgg
