This place is amazing, set right in the centre of the old town you couldnīt ask for a better location. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are a good size with brand new, very clean bathrooms and there is a fridge, kettle and microwave in the communal area. Just be careful with security, your door locks but the door to the main hostel does not.
As an aside beware of tourist info in this town, the guy lied about the bus to get us to take his own taxi!This place is amazing, set right in the centre of the old town you couldnīt ask for a better location. Maria was very nice! But because they overbooked rooms she brought us to her direct neighbour\'s apartment - which was okay (big rooms, nice owner) but obviously - compared to ratings below - worse than Maria\'s Place itself (run-down kitchen). Handling and ferry transfer was alright, price higher than what you could get when you make a deal at the ferry pier spontaniously.Maria was very nice! We only saw Maria on day 3 when we had to ring up to pay and got through to dragan her son who is very rude. Also despite 4 calls with our arrival timse no one met us we were just told to choose our room. Maria is a lovely person so its just a shame we didnt meet her on arrival. Expensive compared to other places we stayed in around croatia, but the location was perfect. It definitely would have been worth the price if our room had had a balcony and a view of the sea. Make sure to dial 0 before you dial the number or it won\'t work. Great location behind the Cathedral, but don\'t ask for directions b/c no one is familiar with the street. Great location in the old town, a little expensive considering there are lots of other accommodation options available in Korcula (ladies meet you at the ferry offering rooms at much lower rates than Marias Place) however the room was very clean, large and the fridge outside was useful. Maria herself was very sweet as well (although doesnt speak much english). We thought Maria's Place was perfect! She and her son met us at the ferry dock and took us to the apartment. She was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is right in the middle of Korcula Town, could not be a better location. A bit noisy at night from restaurant in street below but not a major concern. A/C, bathroom, bed all comfortable and clean. Good storage if you are there for awhile as well -- we only stayed one night. We thought Maria's Place was perfect!
