nothing special. nice place to stay. they could clean the toilets more often.

The room was extremely noisy because of a boiler inside. No sidebed table or chair provided. Staff not particularly kind. No WiFi for 2 out 3 days. No indications of the B&B outside, so it was not so easy to get there.

clean rooms, nice place to stay

Only problem was maybe the shower queues in the morning, as there are a limited numbers of bathrooms. Except of this: great place, you get a lot for the price. I find it good to be a bit outside the touristic city centre as well, as you get to see more of the city, including bars with "real dubliners" and a normal dublin neighborhood. You are anyhow close enough to the centre and have direct buses to the airport.

American couple backpacking in Europe. This was our first stay. Great way to start! Located in a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood on the south side of the river. We walked about 1-2 miles to reach the city center. There are main bus routes nearby. We always felt safe. I never worried about my belongings. Other travelers were quiet. Breakfast is included if you booked directly through their Web site. Otherwise This is a B&B. Don't expect typical hostel accommodations like a kitchen, laundry, etc.

Marilyn Mansion offers great, affordable accomodation in a quiet area of Dublin. It's clean, the staff is admirably nice and flexible, the rooms are functunal but nice (had a TV and a sink in the room) and not to small (speaking about a single room). The charming house is situated the South of the City with several buses linking it to the most important places including the city centre (serveral buses) and the airport (via Bus 16). I would definately recommend it.
