I've loved Marina House! The atmosphere is cozy and people are fun and welcoming. The crew are prepared to help and indicate the best places to visit in Ireland. I think that in a hostel you can meet different people from different cultures and it's so enriching for who wants to travel and enjoy the trip during the whole day, that's why Marina House is a very nice place to stay! I do recommend!

I really enjoyed my time at Marina House. I am from the west of Ireland and have stayed in the hostel on and off for the last 3 years because of college. There is such a great mix of people and the atmosphere is always great. I am sad finishing college as I have to leave my friends at the hostel. The staff are excellent and so helpful. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is great. I could not recommend this hostel highly enough. It's a really great place!

Unfortunately this hostel appears to be a permanent home for a large bunch of people from South America. The first night I was there they and many others who were not even staying at the hostel stayed up partying in the common area until 4 AM, leaving the facilities an utter mess. Avoid this place unless that's the experience you're after.

Hi Mr Goodbody! We are sorry for your bad experience at the Hostel I can see that you are feeling really bad for the nights that you spent at the hostel as I can see is not the first time that you were at the hostel your first booking was 2 years ago around September 2010 and you never left a bad comment like that. The only thing that I can say is that the Hostel is an environment for any sort of nationality and different ages who is open to enjoy and have a nice chat and a nice experience as soon you feel open for it as the sleep is also important and you are free to make a complain, once you couldn't sleep well just that night, what did not happened so I prefer to think that was just one bad experience and a bad moment and again we are sorry for that what we could do for you we did (change you the room) anything else just with a formal complain at the moment that you are feeling troubled which didn't happened and for that we feel sorry. Our apologies for the inconvenient caused but we are really happy to have a "family hostel environment" with at least 7 different nationalities so well praised by customers.

the time I spent in Marina's House was great. People are very very friendly, helpful and fun and we can enjoy many activities there. The rooms are well prepared and areas for socializing are well equipped...

I stayed here for 3 nights with a friend after St Paddys celebrations and found it a really good place just to chill out after a busy few weeks, the staff were really nice and helpful and the kitchen was good. Rooms were cosy and it was about a 15 minute walk to main town but 5 min from train and bus. Was right by the water

The staff was so friendly and willing to help you with whatever your needs may be. They were more than ready to point out places to eat, how to get to City Center, and provided an abundance of maps to get around. A great feature is the lounge which includes a computer and printer.
