This hostel needs tp be shut down. It would never pass any health and safety checks. The area it is in is quite frankly scary, although this generally applies to the city as a whole. Not sure how this place has slipped under the radar for so long.... it obviously needs some desperate rennovation.

Its a dump with a bed and hot shower. I have learned to stay in scary looking places while backpacking the AT and traveling in Morocco. this is one of those places, and I was just coming off a backpack trip too. For one night I can sleep most anywhere and not be too unsettled. Location was great for us on a local level - we visited mark twain's house and his lovely neighbors,the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Great dining close by too. Bring your sleep sack , stay out late &enjoy the sites.
