Apart from (some of) the not very helpful staff, the hostel is a good place to stay. very well situated (5 min walk to Bryggen) and quite cheap for a norwegian hostel (even when adding the linen rent). Too bad there's no breakfast included (the option to have it in a neighbouring café is very expensive). Also there are no real lockers in the collective rooms (just tiny ones for your handbag). Which leaves backpacks all over the room : there's no way you'll be able to enjoy the sofa in the room.

Great location. Close enough to walk to the harbor, and the distance from the train station is definitely appreciated. Facilities were clean and well maintained, well stocked kitchen. Lids of storage space in the rooms for bags. Would stay again for sure.

Great location between train station and Bryggen (Bergen's old town), clean facilities (also seamed new)

The hostel is right by the station so not far to walk with your backpack and it's a 5 minute walk to the harbour where there's lots to do. The only down side to the hostel is that it was very family orientated so not many people doing a trip like me but I met some people and over all ha a great stay

Very welcoming and friendly reception staff. The hostel is spotlessly clean with plenty of showers/toilets. The beds are comfortable. Even though the hostel was busy, everyone respected the need for quiet later in the evening. The location is perfect...easy walk to the station, right in the centre of Bergen but on a quiet street. The port area, shops, places to eat and drink are all close by.

Generally, facilities are adequate, a good location to amenities and we had an enjoyable stay. However, encounter problem with the opening of the door with the swipe room card and has to call the service personnel to open with the room (435) key.

The WiFi signal sucked, hobbled by excessive dropped connections, frequent slow page loads and downloads that dragged on and on. This occurred at multiple websites and while I used several of my digital devices. It was so bad I all but stopped using MG’s so-called WiFi until I moved on to my next destination.

A clean, comfortable and a quiet hostel in the heart of Bergen. A very pleasant stay, would highly recommend! The high standards of the place made it feel more like a Bed and Breakfast. Most rooms have an en suite, but they also have more toilets and showers scattered across the hostel, so there was no need to wait for you turn. Many thanks!

What a lovely place! Light, bright, roomy, with friendly staff, lovely views and good facilities. The sheets were crispy clean but perhaps if there is an area for improvement the floors could be cleaner. I thought that as there was no photo of the outside in the gallery that it would be a nasty looking building but this wasn't the case. It was all charming, even the lift with the old fashioned gate. I'd definitely stay again.

The hostel serves all needs: a bed, a shower, a kitchen and cool people around. One thing that was not sooo nice (but still okay) what that the bed sheets which i got from them had several staines and that most of the beds were quite noisy (i.e. you could hear it squeaking when other people turned around). All in all a great hostel I which i would certainly recommend to anyone going to Bergen. Clean, nice people (even though not the chatty kind) and great location. Definite go.

Pretty good atmosphere to meet people; we all watched the World Cup and then a few of us went hiking the next day. For a 10 bed room, it was extremely spacious and the en suite bathroom was lovely. The WCs in the hall were very clean too and there were several of them. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Very clean, the staff seemed to be continuously cleaning. Very handy for train station. Had a nice feeling. Shared facilities all good (kitchen, bathrooms)

Great room and en-suite, great communal areas and very clean/modern - the only thing missing was an introduction to map/Bergen itself but I know this isn't customary in all hostels. It would have improved my stay though.

Very safe, clean, secure hostel. Staff was great. Would definitely stay here again. Significant better choice than other hostels in town. I just wish they wouldn't charge for linens.
