Good wifi signal strength. Well equiped kitchen although too small. Loved the old elevator and general feel of place. Staff were friendly

It's a beautiful and comfortable hostel. But the kitchen is... I would say... poorly managed... Dishes are very dirty even in the Dish-cleaning machine,, and it's always so busy. Except this point, staff is really nice and helpful, and cleaniness outside kitchen is great...

TOO MANY PEOPLE IN KITCHEN May be it was on Saturday, the kitchen kept using by 3 to 4 groups of people to prepare dinner until 9 o'clock. Kitchen and utensils are old. Shower room and toilet is clean. It does has a good location, just 5 minutes walk from railway station

Reliable and comfortable place, excellent location. You have to bring your own linen (or rent them), and your own breakfast (but the Rimi-store is right next door). Do not forget to bring the raingear, too - it is raining in Bergen most of the time...

The rooms were very spacious, and the location was great. Easy to find, 3 mins from the train station and close to the heart of town.

A lovely little hostel in a great location - nice clean, bright airy rooms, friendly and helpful staff, not too expensive, and great facilities for cooking, using the internet etc. All good!

Great location, staff was very helpful for the time they're there. In the off season they're only there till 4:30, so be careful and be sure to arrange some other way of getting in if arriving later. Peak season they're there all day I believe. Good value for money, relatively speaking. Thanks guys!

I thought the staff and location were the highlight of this hostel. I didn't actually sleep here, but found it to be convenient and the I felt safe. I had no problems at all.

My mascara and foundation were missing from the place I left them in the room and noone except me lived in the room. It feels weird that someone must have taken them.

This is one of the nicest hostels I've encountered in Europe: clean, many large rooms, a small lounge and a dining room/kitchen! In a great location, just a few minutes away from Bryggen, Floyen Funicular, and train station. Norway's expensive overall, so this price was very reasonable. Reception is not open all day, so plan your arrival accordingly. Also, the bunk beds are a little creaky, and the lockers (at least in my room) were smallish and hidden away in a difficult-to-manuever corner.

Other than that there is no staff after 4:30 p.m., everything was very satisfying especially considering the money that I paid. The rooms, showers, restrooms, TV rooms, kitchen and so on were all clean. The showers are separate rooms with showers and curtains, so you can feel secure again. The kitchen is fully equipped, so all you have to buy is only food, no kitchenware or utensils. The check-out is at noon, so you can also have a quick trip in the morning and come back to retrieve your luggage
