I stayed in 3 hostels during my trip, and this was by far the nicest, and that's not to say the others were bad. But the rooms were very nice, everything was very clean, the lockers sufficient, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. Bergen is a charming town, and the hostel lives up to the standard.

Good basic hostel, staff at reception were nice, good location walking distance to train/bus station and sites, had to pay extra for bed sheets, had free wifi.

I found the general level of cleaniliness not too bad, but there was a blood stain on my matress cover which I didn't appreciate. It was also not very obvious when I booked that I would need to bring my own bedding
