Room was small not enough space to even open my bag! Brilliant for the money though.
I've stayed at Marks Inn before and will do so again. The hotel is in a quiet yet convenient location; the staff are friendly and helpful, and the cost of staying there is very reasonable. Thank you, Marks Inn!
I stayed here for the Yuki Matsuri and was pleasantly surprised to find the Susukino site only a couple blocks away. Careful when booking about the smoking options, if you have a choice. The hotel room was warm, clean, and comfortable, the breakfast generous for the price. The towels are rough, though, so bring your own.
Great place to be, private. Excellent location to where it all happens. Not far to walk if its cold before entering kilometres of interesting underground walkways restaurant and all sorts of other essential places to purchase from. Safe location staff very accommodating to general questions. Very good sustaining breakfast included with accommodation costs. Warren Cummins Perth Western Australia
Our stay at Marks Inn was great. Essentially it's a business hotel but it's fine. The free breakfast was awesome, it was set up in a buffet type fashion. The food was pretty basic, a variety of bread and pastries, soup, boiled eggs, OJ, coffee and tea. But it was fine, especially since it was free. We had seconds and sometimes thirds. The hotel has a deal with a local spa that allows discounted access. They give you this info when you check in, but the spa is awesome so I'd recommend it.
It is a hotel not a hostel. Small room (what else in Japan), but with everything you could want.
Rooms are clean but TINY, walk 1 step in and your bathroom is on the right. Which is also tiny Bathtub is small but deep (Japanese style) and if you turn just the hot water tap for the bath, it comes out HOT. Like almost boiling hot... if you're not careful you might be burned. I'm sure this temperature would be illegal in Canada. The bed takes up most of the room, and the temperature inside the room was very warm, no need for blankets during the winter. Is a10 min walk to downtown core.
