Guy that was working that night apparently had been working all day and fell asleep so it took a long time for him to come to the door when we got there. We were starving so we told the guy we were going out for food and would be back in an hour or so. Guy fell asleep again and we rang the bell for a good 15 minutes till someone who was staying there woke up and then went and woke the guy up. He did apologize in the morning but then over charged me for the room.
Nice building. Big room. Hot water only worked sporadically. Communal area a bit small
Excellent, helpful staff. Marlon went out of his way to help us with accommodation, lost items, tours etc. The beds and rooms are also comfortable. The downsides are that the hostel is quite cold inside, there are no heaters. Also late at night and early in the morning the phone and doorbell can be quite loud. Would be good if they adopted a quieter night bell. Definitely recommend!
