Really friendly and family atmosphere. I Would recommend to anyone. Only thing is the walls are a bit thin and the locks a little noisy - but that's hostels for you.. The breakfast was great and typically turkish with lots of choice and the free tea and coffee was welcome. The owners can't do enough for you - very friendly and recommended places to go an see. Service was excellent.

This hostel was amazing. The location alone is worth every penny. In the summer time it must be magnificent! I was there during the winter when it was snowing but it was still a gorgeous view during the free breakfast. The staff wakes up at any hour to welcome you in, and then the atmosphere is welcoming and they are more than happy to assist you in your sightseeing.

My friends and I loved our stay with Marmara Guesthouse! The location was amazing; right in the heart of old Istanbul, close to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. Since we were only staying there for 3 nights, it was extremely important that we were in a location close to the attractions. The woman that checked us in was very warm and hospitable; we felt like we were staying at someone's house! The breakfast in the mornings were lovely and had a nice selection.

WE HAD AN EXCELLENT STAY AT MARMARA GUESTHOUSE. ELIF, THE OWNER, WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL. THE HOTEL WAS CLEAN, COZY AND VERY WELL LOCATED. BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD AND THE TERRACE VIEW WAS AMAZING. WE LOVED OUR STAY THERE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GO TO THE BEAUTFUL CITY OF ISTAMBUL. WE HOPE ONE DAY WE WILL BE ABLE TO GO BACK THERE AND STAY AGAIN AT MARMARA GUESTHOUSE.

Central, clean and safe, with very good breakfast on terrace overlooking the water. The owners are very hard working and friendly people who do their best to help every visitor to get the most out of the stay in Istanbul! Ideal place for people who are looking for a home away from home, even the older ones, but one must be able to walk stairs, as the terrace with view is on top... This is not a party hostel, but a decent guest house.
