We had a lovely time. The hostel was lovely and the owners gave excellent advice. They were friendly, helpfuland charming. I will be recommending the guesthouse to friends and family.

I think this is a perfect place for your first stay in Istanbul. The location is great because it is near the biggest sights in the Old Town (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc.). However the location did feel like a tourist compound and not very "authentic." To be expected based on its proximity to the above mentioned sights. That being said, Marmara is a lovely guesthouse with fantastic staff, a great breakfast, and great value for the money. Thanks for a great stay!

We have been at the Marmara Guesthouse for 1 week. It was a very comfortable stay. We had a pleasant room with our own really nice modern bathroom, that were cleaned daily. Although we were 4 persons sharing 1 room we never felt cramped. The breakfast was very good and delicious, and we enjoyed the various sorts of food. It was a decent mixture of a traditional turkish breakfast and other common "western" ingrediences. The Owners were really obliging and accommodating. Thanks for everything!

The facilities and staff of this hostel were excellent. The building was always clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff was great to work with as they helped us book tours and shows. The breakfast was amazing- probably the best hotel breakfast that I have ever had in all my travels. The location of the hostel is excellent, and I always felt safe walking around the area. I will stay at this hotel every time I come to Istanbul.

It was a lovely clean B&B and the location was absolutely spectacular!

Really friendly and family atmosphere. I Would recommend to anyone. Only thing is the walls are a bit thin and the locks a little noisy - but that's hostels for you.. The breakfast was great and typically turkish with lots of choice and the free tea and coffee was welcome. The owners can't do enough for you - very friendly and recommended places to go an see. Service was excellent.

Nice staff, fresh and delicious breakfast, very clean, just excellent!!!

This hostel was amazing. The location alone is worth every penny. In the summer time it must be magnificent! I was there during the winter when it was snowing but it was still a gorgeous view during the free breakfast. The staff wakes up at any hour to welcome you in, and then the atmosphere is welcoming and they are more than happy to assist you in your sightseeing.

Great location, good breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. Simple facilities, all you really need and very clean.

The owners are really great people and they provide a wonderful service, not to mention gourmet level food. We were very pleased with our stay and intend to stop there again the next time we are in Istanbul.
