we had an upgrade from day 1, the staff was very nice, no bed bugs, the metro station is just out side the door, we were very pleased

The hotel has the typical layout in the Maroccan style. The room was rather dark en there was less light (one lamp at the ceiling and one lamp on a cupboard. What really was missing was a wardrobe, we had to live out of the bag. The beds were good and clean as well as the bathroom. Overall we can recommend the hotel for a short stay.

Probably the nicest cheap hotel you can find. Is in a great position for new York accommodation & always clean. A little tired but compared to what else we saw in the price bracket it was amazing!

we were 4 girls sharing 2 double beds in 1 room with a private bath. great value for money even though the room + bathroom was a bit cramped. Located right next door to a starbucks and the 103rd street stop on the 1 train. we checked in early and we could store our luggage after we checked out. The room had wireless, was clean with comfy beds and looked new. bathroom was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again!

5th floor without elevator, it's hard! The lobby decoration is very beautiful but it's a pity there is none in the very small bedrooms. The walls are paper thin and we can hear everything from the room next door...

A quiet place and close to the subway to go downtown. The room was a bit too small for two people and the bed was small as well and not as comfortable as we expected. The staff was helpful and very nice.

We stayed for 3 nights at the hostel. The room was a bit small but as we were there only to sleep it was ok. It is very well located and the staff very nice. A good place.

I booked on hostels. com. They upheld there part of the contract. they did not charge me extra for needing an rollaway bed. THe place was clean. The pillows were amazing. The rooms were small but so are all the other hotels in NYC. If you stay there for more than 2days get a 7d pass b/c if ull use about that much just getting around Manhattan. It is quite a walk from there. The staff was freindly and helpful.

I really love the sceme of the hotel, only thing I suggest is maybe some more lighting. It was a little bit dim for my taste. But the staff was very friendly and my boyfriend and I felt welcomed. Thanks for making our trip one to remember.

Al members of Staf were great, they were polite and friendly, some of them speak spanish so it was easier to communicate. What we didn't like is the fact that we had to climb lots of stairs as there is no elevator, there are noises in the rooms, no internet and the net in the lobby is very slow. The location is awesome with a subway station on the corner and several places to buy food nearby. Decoration in the lobby is good, but is dull and chaotic in the rooms.

Staff explained us how to get to the sightseeing spots and safe areas at the bronx. Bathroom was dirty and toilet was not able to flush. Bed was very short and very small /narrow for 2 people.

Good stay, convenient to Starbucks & subway (1 train). One of the rooms 501 had noise outside the room window. Our other 3 rooms (504,501, 510) not noise problems. Stairs not problem for our group (20 somethings + 1 family w/ young kids).

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I would go back. But next time I would book it on the hotels page because I had some problems with the reservation. They did not recive my reservation I made on hostels.com. That caused some misunderstandings and turned into a very unfriendly conversation with the staff. So that was a minus. But finally we got a nice and clean room. :-)
